Rendezvous Hotel Auckland

Goed hotel op loopafstand het centrum van Auckland. Personeel correct en behulpzaam. Vanaf Auckland luchthaven rijdt er een shuttle service naar het hotel, een taxi kost je NZD 75,- .Ontbijt toereikend maar niets bijzonders. Japans restaurant op 1e etage is uitstekend.

We hadden gebruik gemaakt van een aanbieding; Plaza Clubroom. Hierbij werd gratis internet beloofd maar dit bleek in de praktijk slechts 15 min.per dag te zijn en niet eens in je kamer. In de lobby is er WiFi maar in je kamer gaat dit via een kabel. Te duur en vrij onhandig. Let goed op wat een aanbieding inhoudt en check dit via het hotel.

This hotel was actually better than we had expected. The rooms was great. The only problem was thet the TV in our room did not work. They immediately moved us to another room on the same floor. The people were friendly and helpfull at all times.

Spacious clean rooms, located close to the heart of the city and excellent breakfast.

Proper tea and coffee making facilities

Could do w/ a refurb - Can't remember the last time I saw a CRT TV in a hotel. Ironing board cover was hanging off the board - just worn out. Desk and chair v uncomfortable to sit and work at with a laptop. Internet v expensive for what you get.

Air cond wasnt work, electric socket wasnt work, no sugars was apply in the mini bar, common area, swimming pool close too early, wasnt very impress what i have spend

The location and ability to stay at conference location. All facilities are available there.

Tuesday evening, 17/11, the restaraunt "lost" my meal order. I was told it would be about 20 minutes "because the kitchen was busy". Several times the waitress came and said "sorry" and 1 hour later I received my meal.

Quiet room and value for money during our stay.

it's not easy for visitors to see the hotel logo from the outside of the hotel while driving, the hotel is close to a busy intersection..

Quiet and peacefull rooms, spacious feel to whole hotel, relaxing. Great service.

The room was comfortable, with a modern bathroom although the main room was a bit dated. There is a swimming pool and sauna area which is great! It's fairly close to the city so was convenient too.

The hotel is very dated, especially the rooms. The room was described as having city skyline views, although this was a bit of a stretch, as you had to crane your neck out the window to see anything. This was disappointing as I specifically requested a room with good views.

Via the special price on booking.com I felt the hotel was good value for money. It was newly built, modern interiors, clean. The staff were adequate. Most of the rooms had a very good view, ours was ok even though it was one of the budget rooms. The larger apartments looked like they would be very comfortable. The lounge room was nicely decorated and had a fabulous view. It is a very walkable 15 min from town.

The description of our one room 'apartment' was slightly misleading as it did not have any cooking facilities apart from a kettle and toaster so it was more just a hotel room. The window could not be opened at all and it was rather hot therefore quite stuffy at times. There was a building site next door which I guess is why the room was cheap, but this would only affect the outer apartments on one side as the place was well sound insulated so I doubt the noise was audible past the nearest row.
