Bedside light not working
Room comfortable, warm and well equipped for a short stay
Very noisy neighbours with no staff intervention , which started at 2am until about 4am.
Its location for snowboarding/skiing.
Neighbours waking us up before 6am. Our info sheet said the bed would be made daily, it was only made once in our 4 night stay. Dishes were also only done once and there was only two of everything so we had to wash them in the bathroom sink just to have breakfast. Our body wash dispenser was also empty and not refilled for our entire stay.
Nice tidy ,clean unit ,couple minutes walk to town was handy
Poor service, Room was dirty. from prior guests. Water temperature hardly worked. No noise control. Upstairs guest began to fight at 2:30 am in the morning including smashing Ranch slider glass door. This was allowed to go on till 4:00 am in the morning before myself and my partner decided to contact Reception. My partner was hung up on and upon the second call i was given attitude by reception for ringing at that time. The next day there was no apology. Spa pool had mold growing on cushions. And our room was not serviced the entire stay. I would not recommend staying here.
Very well heated Comfortable bed
Both of us woke up with several itchy bites (had no windows open so couldn't have been mosquitoes_ - most likely bed bugs Kitchen bowls were useless didn't fit any cereal or milk in them Parking was atrocious, not enough parks or room and exit drive way too narrow Shower didn't drain properly Saw staff member only when checked in Staff member rang and asked for our eta (we thought it was excessive)
Great location near the centre of Ohakune, walking distance to bars and restaurants. Clean, tidy basic accommodation and great value for money - out all day skiing!
TV didn't work well, picked up interference from electrical items. No full kitchen but managed without.
Were told there would be kitchen facilities and there weren't. Mattress was not very good.
Comfortable bed and quiet area. Plenty of space in room.
Location and room layout.
Hosts spoke very little english. Had to ask for things like tea towels dish cloth. There was no soap. Room Slept 5 but dining table only sat 2 not ideal for family. Spapool left running at night so hard to sleep.
Easy walk to bars, restaurants and supermarket. Comfortable and warm.
Lots of condensation on windows and fluctuating shower temperature.
The rooms were kitted out well enough.
They took payment off the credit card when I booked through booking.com, my understanding is that this only comes out when you pay at check in. I don't appreciate getting charged the credit card fee! The parking at the hotel is very tight, not easy for the SUV's that people have when they go skiing. The walls are very thin and so it is noisy. You have to pay for internet - basically not good value for money, but it is Ohakune!
close to town, clean, nice hot shower
dishes were provided but no kitchen sink to wash them, very small rooms so would recommend to couples only definitely not to families with children, hairdryer was not in room as advertised.
Not much sound prrofing. People parting above us in unit to 5am in the morning. Were not the only people disturbed and motel owner did nothing
The beds were comfortable
In one room the tv didn't work. We upgraded to a bigger unit. The oven didn't work and the cooking dishes were not clean and very greasy.
It would be fine if you were just wanting a bed and shower after a days skiing. Spa pool was great!
Carpet and bedcovers not clean. No shelves, rails or hooks to hang or put things in bathroom and shower. No where to wash dishes. Some maintenance required on window latches.
The location was central and could walk into town.
First of all the parking was so tight that it took 6 point turns to get in and out. The bed sheets had stains on them. The beds springs were broken and you could hear people in the room either side of you. We didn't sleep because of this. I think it was over priced for what we got.
Location, basic facilities, spa
We stayed in the two-bedroom unit. Only one heater in lounge area. Over priced and we were cold.
Location is good - close enough to walk into town but just far enough out to avoid undue noise. Main bed was comfortable, singles less so but adequate. Good couch in lounge. Lots of hot water and excellent shower pressure.
Seriously overpriced for whats on offer - this motel is charging upmarket prices for very basic rooms. Toilet and glassware not clean on arrival. Not just a bit grubby but noticeably unclean. Only one coffee cup initially provided in a two bedroom unit although more were provided on request. No heated towel rail in bathroom - in ski resort area this should be standard. Towel rail that was provided too small for size of unit and no hooks to hang up additional towels. Electric blanket on double bed only single control not dual on each side as is normal nowadays. Staff did not service room as they said they would (as per laminated card in room) - beds not made, soaking wet towels not replaced, toilet paper not renewed. Kitchen very old fashioned, still workable but not well thought out - for example it had a microwave but no dish to microwave anything in. Room layout only suitable for families not for adults travelling together as no door between main bedroom and lounge and to get to second bedroom or bathroom you had to walk through the main bedroom. Dining table too small (approx 1m diameter) and only two chairs provided in large two bedroom unit. Staff very uninterested and vacant. Repeated requests to have room serviced eventually lead on third day to them straightening the covers over crumpled sheets. Previous two days beds not made at all. Would never stay here again and recommend all other travelers to avoid it.
Location overall ok
No spare toilet paper Noisy upstairs- the ceiling creaked with every step The blurb in the unit said it was serviced every day- beds werent made and rubbish bag wasnt replaced
Ease of access to town & Turoa ski field. Electric Blanket :)
Staff gave minimal advice. No milk as stated. One duvet was crusty & obviously not laundered.
spa pool water temperature is not very enjoyable - only 36.5 max
Great location and helpful staff
Small table for two in family unit, heater on timer, noisy heater (not on timer!) in next door unit right against our bedroom wall
The fact that the room had evetything you needed and wasnt old facilities
No staff were there, but once I gad rung the number on the doirceverything was already set up for my arrival anyway.
