The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing!
We would definitely stay here again!

It was very cozy and a walk from the ferry which we came over on our bikes. It was an easy walk into town and the harbor. Quiet neighborhood. Having the outside patio table and umbrella and the privacy was quite special. We wished we had planned to stay longer.

The breakfast was a lovely well prepared and appetizing combination of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast, and beverages. there’s an amazing view of the ocean from the room that is constantly changing with the weather and transitive the sun. The host were friendly, efficient and inconspicuous.

Everything about Beech Hill was incredible. Gorgeous architecture and interior design with great attention paid to small touches. Idyllic setting with walks and gloworms from the door. Minutes from lots to do and close to Coastal taste trail. Owner, Nic, was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome. Her ambassador, the pup Frankie, made my kids entire trip to New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to one day return.

Amazing place to stay. It has everything you need, from a well stocked kitchen, clothes airer, kids toys. It's makes stying there so easy and relaxing, especially if you have kids, they always love someone else's toys! Gina the host is amazing, very accommodating and helpful, especially as each year we have stayed we have left kids togs etc behind! The accomodation itself it lovely, great peaceful location, beautiful surroundings.

I have stayed in Mapua many times while holidaying in the region. Its a perfect spot if you don't want to be in the more metropolitan Nelson/Richmond areas but still have all the facilities at hand that you want on a holiday - restaurants, cafes, shops, pub, supermarket, petrol etc etc while still only being half an hour away from Nelson etc

We've been to Mapua before.
We've been to Mapua before. It's off the beaten track to an extent but still has all the facilities you might want. It gets quite busy with tourists, both domestic and overseas, in summer. However, by the end of April this year it was just right with no problems getting a table at any of the restaurants yet they weren't dead either. Cyclists/walkers be aware that the Mapua Ferry winter timetable (weekends and school hols only) cuts in on the first week in May. We intended cycling in to Richmond but were scuppered by the lack of a ferry crossing.

Lovely relaxed area.
Lovely relaxed area. Good shopping and a variety of restaurants available.
The Apple Shed resturant was great
Only downside was that the restaurants closed early Monday night but we found a great pub that was quiet and food was very nice.
Lovely quiet location in a beautiful garden. Everything was very comfortable. Our thoughtful hosts had provided everything we might need including plentiful continental breakfast, fresh milk and home made biscuits. There was a nice private outdoor seating area. It was good to have window screens to protect against flies.
We were able to walk to a local pub for a great meal. Picturesque Mapua wharf was within five minutes driving distance with its lovely shops and cafes.
Very clean, modern, comfortable and spacious unit, within easy walking distance to Mapua Wharf, and also other local facilities (4 SQ, excellent cafe/bakery, and Sprig & Fern pub (highly recommended!)). Ability to park right outside the property and being allowed to use the power in the garage to charge the car was a bonus! Didn't get to use the outside BBQ or deck this time. Hope to stay again (if there's availability!) when next in Mapua.
This place is a little slice of heaven. Chrissie and John were the best hosts. The view from the room was beautiful. Fresh fruit was growing outside in the garden. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was yummy. Very close to wharf and restaurants. We will definitely come back again to explore the wineries.
So cool that the host was from Gravesend, Kent. Small world!
Thank you! Richard & Michelle
Wonderful unit, clean, comfortable with a nice outdoor seating area to relax and enjoy the gardens. The host Nicky is great, and provided a picnic basket full of breakfast items outside our door/patio in the morning. Highly recommend. While you are in Mapua, a short ride to the small scenic harbor will lead you to some good restaurants. We ate at the Apple Shed, it was also very good. Good NZ wine list.
The room was exceptionally clean just like a star hotel. Coffee n tea were available in the room. Had a wifi connection and was able to park my car in the compound safe and secure. The facility has a good view of the sea from the deck. Clear instructions were provided by Mark (the owner) regarding the check-in process which made it easy to settle down once we reached the place.
The location in Mapua was a short walk from the wharf area withe the pubs and restaurants, but is just far enough away that there is very little noise emanating from that area. The facilities are self-catering with only a microwave and kettle inside but a large stainless steel sink, drainer and tabletop gas grill/barbeque just outside and undercover.
First class accommodation. Very well presented and some thoughtful extras like TWO suitcase stands. I was by myself but I am used to travelling with my wife and we have a suitcase each, so two stands is brilliant. There were very nice fixings for breakfast and it was only 5 minutes walk to the wharf.
Absolutely incredible views!! Spent our time lounging and watching the bird life and Mapua ferry going back and forth. Lovely spacious apartment with everything you need. Right next to wharf with great eateries, shops and art galleries. Highly recommend.
I absolutely loved this property. A really cute character cottage with all the modern conveniences. The location was perfect. I have stayed at a lot of other properties in Mapua and this was my favourite by miles. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Location is terrific and within easy walking distance to the wharf, coffee shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. Apartment was lovely and lots of info handily supplied via a nice notebook.
Lots of space in the studio, the bedroom was separate from the lounge, it was warm and very close to the Mapua wharf, shops and restaurants. Nice paintings by the owner on the walls. A nice touch with homemade chocolates supplied.
Location was excellent being so close to the wharf. Unit was comfortable with new bathroom. Porch outside was a lovely place to eat or enjoy the outdoors. Very comfortable bed. Friendly hosts. Wifi appreciated.
The accommodation was entirely as was stated. Such a relaxing outlook and feel in a beautiful setting. The unit was minutes from Mapua Inlet, shops and eateries. Perfect for our anniversary!
