We did not eat in the hotel on this occaision, but it is a good reliable 4 star + in a splendid location for attending shows in the major theatres It was being renovated, which we know has to be done now and then, but did make access slightly more difficult. Also, the day we were there the entire restaurant was closed for a private function in the evening. It didn't inconvenience us but was a bit of a surprise. |

The location in relation to restaurants and shopping was very good. The cleaning staff were extremely friendly. The fact that the foyer was being renovated meant we had to traipse through the bar with baggage. If we had been advised of the renovations we would probably have gone elsewhere. also the TV was annoying sound and visual were not synchronised. |

It is in the very centre of the city within attractions all within a few minutes' walk. Parking are a bit overcharged as compared to other hotels in the city and all over NZ. |

Courteous service and ease of checking in and out. 11 am departure was good. I booked a twin room and we had to ask house-keeping to separate the beds after we arrived.The room was near the lift and we heard the pinging of the lift through the walls. It was very disturbing. The pillows were very thick, however I did not ask house-keeping for a softer one and I am sure they would have obliged if I had. |

The comfortable bed and clean bathroom with a great hot shower. Coffee and tea were nice. A little noisy at night with the flags flapping in the south westerly blow we had. |

We were able to have a private holiday in comfort having asked not to be disturbed after having travelled some distance in a motor home in cold weather. This allowed us to choose when we wished to sleep in or to leave the room without the intrusion of cleaning staff. We appreciated this very much. No. We were pleased with the hotel and the service both of booking.com and the staff at the hotel. |
