Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown  

La ubicacion del hotel es muy buena, a pocas cuadras del centro comercial. La vista de las habitaciones al lago es excelente. El bar es muy bueno, y comprando un trago se obtiene acceso wifi sin restricciones ni costos extras. Cuenta tambien con un amplio parking, tanto en planta baja, como en las plantas superiores.

El hotel cuenta con muchas habitaciones, y para llegar a las de los pisos mas altos hay que recorrer mucho camino y tomar 2 ascensores diferentes.

The water temperature in the shower was either too hot or too cold - I could not have a shower without being frozen or scalded, and wasted a lot of water trying to get it to a comfortable temperature, to no avail. The bathroom was old and had peeling paint and was not very nice. The decor was dated. The room was small and cramped. The room was well below expectation and the only reason you could charge that much was because of the type of hotel it was in. I was not impressed and will not be staying at Rydges Lakeland Resort again.

Room too small. Decor was 60's Poor state of repair and cleanliness. No hairdryer. Overpriced

The location is good, close to the town and overlooking the bay. The rooms are clean and well presented. Laundry facilities good.

I was generally disappointed with the hotel, the balconies are generally not private, or if private - immediately overlook a big shared balcony. Exceptions are the top 3 floors, but these are away from the main hotel and involve two lifts and a walk between the two. The staff were polite, but not overly helpful. The car parking at ground level and near to the main entrance is limited, some limited extra spaces are available at 7th floor level, this involves a drive, and then a walk to 7th floor lift, and then and walk and change of lifts. The consistency of rooms vary - some are modern, others are more tired (particularly the bathrooms) and have less space, but cleanliness and presentation is good. On balance I would shop around for vfm.

Great location, however, the room didn't have air condition and the heated mirror in the bathroom could not be turned off! That made the room too warm for comfort for the 3 days when the temperature were hitting 27 degrees. Also the heated mirror is not environmentally friendly.

We got upgraded to a superior room. Receptionist on arrival provided exceptional service, when we saw her later in the night she treated us like friends not customers - she was great.

I thought the breakfast was way overpriced for what you got. And it was the worst breakfast I've had at a hotel in a long time. I don't know about the rest of the meals but I would strongly suggest my friends go elsewhere for breakfast.

My initial room was very poor, however, I complained about this and was given a lovely room. The staff were very good about handling the complaint.

Was given a very poor room which was not worth the money, had to complain to get a better room.

The position is great views over the lake and close to town, 500m.

I booked with one of the special priced rooms. Little did I know it would be the most budget room I have ever stayed at, in Queenstown.This is meant to be a 4 star hotel/resort, the hotel is very tired, damp, noisy 2 star at the most. My first room was on the back of the hotel looking directly at the road where the tour buses parked. At 6.00 the first bus started then the second at 6.30 warmed up, loud as you can imagine. The room was tired damp and I asked to move, I was upgraded to a lake view room just as tired and damp. The problem was an unwanted wake up call at 5.00 and then every 10mins I took off the receiver. The location was good.

There was not one thing that i liked about this hotel, myself and girlfriend had booked this for a week and after 1 night we moved out. The hotel was advertised as a suite with a lake view and balcony, yes it had a lake view and the balcony was communial and shared by many other rooms, you coyuld not have your curtains and windows open as people can just walk pass, and it was as hot as a sauna in there so youy needed windows open, for over $200 a n ight this is one of the worst hotels i have stayed in.
