Great location, fantastic restaurant and friendly staff.
Unfortunately our bed was a disaster! Saggy with big indents either side. Double sheets on a King bed. Noisy, slamming doors all night. No view from 4th floor.... Large, ugly tree blocking many rooms. Wireless internet not acceptable... Slow and intermittent.
Art Deco, beach, great parks for kids, cafe's and restaurants, beautiful view from our room, excellent accomodation, friendly staff, great shops especially the vegetarian shop.
Loved the clean comfy fresh bedding. Loved the all blacks staying
Didn't like the after hour dinner, thought there room for improvement. Some fresh garnish would be nice.
Love the sea view. Off street parking. Close to city shops & cafes.
Accepted the offer of a morning newspaper but it was not delivered to the room door. Had to go to reception to get one.
Location is great and staff are very obliging

Comfy beds, nice room
Bathroom was small compared to other scenic hotels
location - close to town, beautiful bed and pillow
had the cheap continental breakfast and got charged $2.00 more for having a juice
handy location with good views
no safe facilities in the room & restricted vegetarian options in restaurant
Enjoyed the whole experience room was good staff very friendly and helpful
Having breakfast looking out on the beautiful view. View from rooms.
Desk is mostly busy with only one operator, which means queuing, and when booking out this can be problematic. I usually book out after my breakfast, rather than on departure, to facilitate processing. When I arrived there was such a long queue I went out for dinner first.
The hotel had a nice feel to it. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again
Very helpful staff and a great location
Great Location, amazing view, very courteous staff
Very few TV channels
Excellent location, lovely room with a view

Friendly staff, bathroom well equipped - shampoo, bath gel etc. Very quiet and lovely view. Location excellent, very easy to reach cafes and shops and only a short stroll to the Municipal theatre.

Lovely hotel in a great location on the sea front in Napier. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
No area outside where you could just sit and relax in the sun with your feet up, but that said I would still recommend this hotel.
Service in resturaunt
Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, great location, large parking lot
Windows were a little dirty so wasn't able to enjoy the great view as much

bed uncomfortable (worn out), prices in restaurant high
it was a very busy weekend. i did not get to see / use any hotel facilities except our room, the elevator, the reception area and the car park
when sitting on the loo I could smell the stale smell of urine as if the previous guests had urinated on the floor and it hadn't been cleaned up
the man on reception was great at helping us choose a pub
