Silver Fern Lodge  

Such friendly staff and our room was so clean we couldn't find anything to complain about!! Great location and covered car park, which was awesome considering the weather we had! We will be back :)

Easy to find and close to the centre of Taupo. Easy walk to the CBD and restaurants etc. Comfortable at a reasonable price.

I found the room quite cold.

We were only in over night. We arrived late and left relatively early. The staff had put the cot we needed into our room & had ensured the room was nice & warm for us arriving with a 10 week old baby. Check out in the morning very straight forward. Staff members friendly & relaxed.

Nothing, the place suited our needs for the overnight stay.

Everything worked fine, close to the center and lake.

The staff are friendly. The unit is really nice and comfy.

I would reccomend Silver Fern Lodge to anyone, Owners very friendly and helpful and I will deffinately be going back to stay again with my little boy!

I've stayed at Silver Fern Lodge several times now and have always found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge is always extremely clean and tidy. It's a happy friendly place to stay.

We paid for a hotel room which we expected would have clean linen and towels along with soap and toiletries instead we got a filthy room with used soap and dirty towels in the bathroom, paid for a queen room but shared a single bed due to there beig hair and skin and dirt on the queen sheets which mind you should have been fresh crisp clean sheets, the room smelt like somethinv had died in there. This is by far the most discussing motel room I have been in reception was not open when we left in the morning I would like people to review this message and understand how dirty the place was I'm so unhappy and would like a refund worst motel experience in nz

Clean rooms, great shower, quiet, close to town centre

Really good service from the front desk, information given about taupo and deals which we were able to enjoy. Room was really clean and affordable.

Economic, clean and easy to book

Noisy inside & outside early on Sunday morning 2-3am

Ease of booking and as we arrived late the key was left for us and easy to find. Room was nice and clean and had want we needed for our brief stay. Communal kitchen had all the extras for us to use next morning.

Shower tray filled with water - drains no doubt blocked with hair? A shame reception opened after 9 on Saturday, so we didn't actually see any staff in person, only spoke on the phone. It felt kind of strange to check in and check out without talking or signing any paper work. Only hope the charge to credit card went smoothly.

Facilities were modern and clean.

Sofa in the room was in the way a bit but it didnt really matter.

No soap,shampoo etc no face washers.prior notice would have been handy. no spoons to stir the coffee in room. Shared kitchen but morning coffee in bed would have been nice without having to get dressed & go to kitchen.

Misleading about the tv and sky, I assumed these were in the rooms, not the communal lounge.
