“ It was our first time in New Plymouth, a city without roundabout (?). We had a great time with Brad and Fujiko at 16 Havelock, a home with full of heart and love. My hubby and Brad found their favorite topic "Sweet Home" Yeah! I love Fujiko's home decor around the house and her homemade bread. ”

Awesome breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Beautiful interior design, comfortable beds, powerful shower. Not that close to city centre. Shared bathroom means you may have to wait on other guests (but we were basically the only ones when we stayed).

Brad and Fujiko were a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for us. Really made us feel at home. Recommended places to go and things to see locally and on our drive back to Auckland. Room was beautifully decorated and clean, beds very comfortable. Bathroom also very clean, soft towels. Brad prepared a great breakfast! We were also introduced to their 4 cats! I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely B&B and would certainly stay there again! Not applicable!!

Brad and Fujiko are extremely helpful and very accommodating hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely clean, fresh interior, super little room, excellent Wi-Fi connection. Shower was perfect. Breakfast excellent, home made bread was delicious. As a B & B it is brilliant. Lovely views of Mount Egmont after the initial clouds had lifted. If ever in New Plymouth again there's only one place I'd stop...16 Havelock!!! Also the four cats were adorable. Absolutely nothing at all. If I went again I would love to try Fujiko's home cooking sadly they had a busy week and were very tired when I visited and she didn't do dinner.

Very clean, well decorated Lack of privacy - other that the room, the B&B living room and spaces were busy, occupied by people invited by the host. This may be part of the "Kiwi experience" advertised on the web - but it does not give the tired traveller any place. The invitees left by 9:30 or so, ok by good neighbor standards - but not meeting expectations of an Hotel, or a B&B. People looking for a place to meet Kiwis and other guests will like this. Others will not. The bedroom, the only place to retreat to, was very small albeit very nicely decorated. There was barely space to lay our suitcases flat on the floor between the bed and the wall. And the really bad surprise - no private bathroom - a fact that was mentioned in neither Booking.com nor the Havelock private site. Looking though the wording on site, citing all the things that are there, the omission of a plain "shared bathroom" phrase looked intentional.

Brad and Fujiko were very welcoming hosts in a spotlessly clean house. My room and bed were very comfortable and Fujiko's homemade bread was the highlight of my breakfast while Brad kept the tea coming. On a totally rained out Sunday Fujiko kept me company and we had an intersting and stimulating conversation. Would definitely stay there again.

The hosts Brad and Fujiko were lovely. She is Japanese and we were invited to join them for evening meals and sample her cooking which was most enjoyable and certainly different from what we would have eaten elsewhere. There were beautiful views of Mount Taranaki from here. The house is up a steep slope so may not be suitable for anyone with health problems. There was only one toilet for hosts and guests [no ensuites] which meant 7 of us during the time we and others were there.

It was our first time in New Plymouth, a city without roundabout (?). We had a great time with Brad and Fujiko at 16 Havelock, a home with full of heart and love. My hubby and Brad found their favorite topic "Sweet Home" Yeah! I love Fujiko's home decor around the house and her homemade bread. Everything just perfectly made us feeling we were at our own home, clean, tidy, comfy...Although we didn't see the summit of Mt Egmont, we enjoyed the time in this City. Thank you so much to our host Brad & Fujiko :)

Enjoyed friendliness and helpfulness of Brad and Fujiko my hosts. Fujiko who is Japanese, is a great cook and can cook "anything" to any requirement, which includes beautiful Japanese meals. In true Japanese style you do not wear shoes inside, and are provided with Japanese style slippers. I would recommend this to anyone..
