Skycity Grand Hotel Auckland    

Well appointed room with very comfortable bedding. Staff working in the lobby bar and the doormen are fabulous.

Our experience at check-in was less than acceptable, and this was our first visit to Skycity Grand Hotel. Front line staff set the tone for the Hotel so should be very mindful of this.

How the mini bar jst came in and restocked our room and I said no serveral times but she insisted

when we arrived back after dinner there was a loud party going on in the room two doors down from our - i had to phone reception and complain

The service was one of the best I've recieved, I asked for flowers at 9pm and they were delivered to my door at 10pm, truly impressive! Thanks.

We liked how central the Grand was located in Auckland, it made it easy to get around. Overall, it was a great stay, great services and restaurants close by. We would definitely consider choosing the Grand again if we come to Auckland.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, access and location to Auckland city is fantastic.

Nice room service meal. Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Close to public transport.

Room was lower down (9th floor) and overlooked a bar area that had a wedding on Saturday night (fortunately not too much noise though). Mini- bar not refreshed on 2 of the 4 days I stayed. Bathroom seemed to be for a disabled person with no bath just a large shower area with a curtain. The bathroom bench space was also quite narrow.

Minor issue with someone elses rubbish left in one of the drawers. But it happens and it certainly didn't change the fact that I would go back.

Used Towels piled high in the gym room and hair and unclean toilet in the spa (massage spa).

We loved our suite (which we were upgraded to), the incredibly friendly and helpful concierges, and the location.

For such a fancy hotel your staff members have very little attention to detail as my booking reservation clearly stated ms (Ms k Hamilton) and yet you have mr???? For the price - your rooms were old and tired looking male reception staff member didn't explain the parking quite easily the park your own car situation is crap bathroom door is very awkward and not necessary as it is too bulky you need a sliding door etc

Impersonal Staff (except for the doorman) exorbitant breakfast price - should have been included in room price for $259pn and charged for using credit card! who pays a hotel in cash?
