Snells Beach Motel  

Quiet. Proximity to my friends/family.

It would have been good if there had been a pet friendly option for a small well-behaved dog.

Good location, shops and cafeterias are just cross the road.

Quiet and close to places of interest and good eating places - Warkworth, Matakana, etc.

The spa bath was awesome and the room was clean and tidy, as was the entire property. Great location with shops, cafes and even 'The Warehouse' across the road. The beach was within walking distance and had a great 3km walking path along the beachfront. I would recommend this motel to others

Family friendly comfortable accommodation. Hosts were friendly and helphul. Convenient for the local beaches and walks.

The motel itself is well kept and in a fantastic location. Easy to find and central to all the other delights of the area. The owners made several recommendations on things to see and do and places to dine; and they were all excellent ideas. Also the open parking style and layout made the motel very convenient to get in and out of from the rroad.

Room layout was not ideal in the lounge/dining area but we were able to rearrange easily enough to suit our purposes.

We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was comfortable with great views. Ideal location for a family.stay.

Place was a little old but was good to stay at.

Spa bath, close to Sandspit Wharf and close to shops, bar and good food.

The apartment was roomy, clean and had a deck with a view. The view is available in two upper units only.

The building is located on ten main road which was very noisy most of the night.

Extremely clean unit with plenty of space in a good location just one block from the bay (although on the day we were there, there was alot of seaweed on the beach). The staff were very helpful with providing free internet (50mb) plus pointing us to local restaurants. We only stayed one night as we were travelling through but would liked to have stayed longer.

The unit allocated was changed before we arrived so thata small unit was substituted. The unit had neither fan or air conditioning and in this weather was uncomfortably hot.Next door were a group of smokers and their smoke drifted into the unit when the door was open, The unit at $148 was overpriced.As wehad stayed in the motel on a previous occasion and had been impressedwe were very disappointed on this ocasion

Nice staff, beautiful room,lovely swimming pool.

This was one of the best finds on our recent 6week trip round NZ. We wish we had longer in this s superb area and the motel was all we'd ask for. Thank you

The manager was very helpful filling us in on local things to do. Unit was spacious and comfortable and close to the beach.

Rooms were available for entry on time,were also clean and tidy.

Very few parking spots adjacent to rooms that have been booked so a walk to vehicle to load or unload or to pick up items became a drag.

Clean, new furniture. Nice area, close to many shops, bakery etc. Kitchen good. Good staff. Staff let us check out an hour later as we had a late night the night before! Pool was lovely, spa very relaxing. I would definitely stay again.

Internet didn't last very long, but we did have the option to ask for more :)

To go upstairs with a 20kg luggage for the elderly is a little bit hard or should I say difficult.

Great motel, good location with cafes etc across the road. Friendly, helpful proprietors. Spa was great, and a nice heated pool too

Easy access to other beaches and eateries across the road excellently situated.

No designated car parks per unit. Shower/spa bath....water went everywhere!!

I thought the hotel was super clean and the room was very well appointed. For a one bedroom we found it to be quite spacious with a lovely balcony and views of the ocean. It was well located with restaurants and grocery stores across the street or close by. There is a beautiful walking path beside the beach which is about 3 km in length, which was great for an early morning run or walk. All in all, a great choice for to stay in the wine country region.

It is a very quiet town, as the stores and restaurants pretty much all close at 730pm.

Comfortable motel with good facilities. Handy to Matakana, wineries and concert venue. Friendly and helpful management/owners.
