Good location, friendly staff. Have stayed before and wood stay again.

A very warm and professional greeting from staff. The apartment was huge and well equipped. and the view of the lake was beautiful. Close to town centre but still quiet enough to enjoy. Facilities were very good.

Everything went off great, we will stay again.

Spa, view, friendly staff from office and cleaners ,nice and clean.

No microwave,shower turner loose had to wait for it to get warm, then too hot. Didn't know which was hot or cold way.

It was clean and well appointed. The meal in the attached restaurant, Mousetrap, was good.

It seemed a little expensive.

Large room with a very comfortable bed, huge jacuzzi bath and stunning views over Lake Taupo and the volcanoes beyond. Also liked having microwave in the room.

Restaurant not as high standard as the hotel itself. Breakfast, for example, was a bit greasy and certainly no better than average

Truck use the green opposite as an overnight stop. However only a minor snub really.

Liked the size of room 20 and love the location - stayed for the Offshore and then the Ski Racing.

For big functions you always wait a while for bar service.

The staff and service were excellent, great place to stay, and close to town centre.

Very clean rooms with lovely views of the lake, staff were very helpful. Would stay again if in Taupo

I liked the hotel my cousin booked into down the road!

I booked a room which should have had a queen bed and a single. They booked us into the wrong room which did not have the single bed I had booked, which left a friend who was going to stay to not have a place to stay as everywhere was booked out as it was new years eve. They offered no resolution and merely said verbatim "Oh sorry about that". They then preceded to blame me for the problem. When I asked what they could do they said nothing. This experience makes me dubious about finding "cheap deals" through this site as this experience has given me the impression that low price is compromised by low service and care.

Exceptional location and superb view on lake and volcanoes - comfort and equipment in the room - balcony - restaurant We stayed twice in this hotel (we came back because we had loved it the first time) Perfect location for access to many sporting activities and to excursions all around Taupo

The kitchen corner was not 100% clean

Lovely room and view

Initial poor service in restaurant. However bar manager stepped in and re explained to staff that we had a booking and the cook had approved our service despite a large function as well. It was very embarrassing initially. Thank you bar manager for your courtesy.

Convenient & short walk to lake, city centre and dining places.

Kettle was dirty. Handling of the shower temperature is tricky (too hot or too cold), could improve on these.

Had a very nice stay. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Liked the location, very close to everything but far enough to be quiet. Would stay here again! :)

Bed wasn't too comfortable but was ok for a few nights.

Enjoyed the location due to proximity of venue we needed to attend, room was spacious and clean and we used the spa bath which was very nice. The adjoining restaurant had great ambience.

Needed an extra slice of turkish bread on the bacon and eggs - one bit per egg would be perfect.

Pity my the guests above my too We're so rowdy. In all tho not at all a bad experience.

Friendly staff. Child friendly. Able to walk to town, lake, marina. We will be coming back when we can get the special family bookings.

Would have stayed a second night if rate could have been dropped a little.
