Friendly staff, confortable.
Room that we finally got after being conned into taking an upgrade to exactly the room we booked - was roomy.
This was the worst experience in 14 days of booking with bookings.com. The room we booked was identical to the room we ended up getting, but the deceiving staff and manager told us we booked a room without an on suite and that even though we booked a double, they had none left and would give us 2 single beds AND charge us a $9 linen cost for each single bed instead of one $9 fee for the double bed we booked. After arguing we got an "upgrade" and paid $14 for it to get the same room we booked. In other words they were not fully booked for our room type as they were able to ofer the double bed . Their argument was that we hadn't booked an on suite yet our booking clearly showed that we had. The manager would not refund out upgrade and insisted we booked a room that was a lot cheaper and paid the extra amount for the bookings.com fee. This is the most obnoxious service industry behaviour I can remember
Great location on main route to Milford Sound and close to high st and all amenities. Has a bouncy mat which looks like good fun for the kids.
Nothing Deluxe about advertised room. Very shocked to find on arrival that we needed to pay another $9 for duvet hire - when arriving you don't have any other option but to hire. To use advertised kitchen facilities unless you bring your own, need to hire pots & pans for $5. This is not usual for other Holiday Parks in NZ - this policy needs to change. Read fine print of what is not included. Reception staff not overly friendly.
Staff, location, free parking, laundry
Bedding and kitchen equipment (pots and pans) cost extra but this is not reflected in the price of the room
The town itself is very nice and enjoyable to be in.
The motel room is all connected. When people walk pass your room we call here them pretty loud.
Excellent response to our request for advance booking of our Doubtful Sound trip. Superb cafe just over the road! Perfect touring base.
A little basic but ok. Could be closer to the lake.
- Staffs are helpful & friendly. - Our son loved the trampoline. - Few min. drive to shops & restaurants.
- No Free Wifi so I paid for Wifi but very bad connection.
LOCATION AND STAFF INFORMATION
Wi Fi was paid for but was impossible-we were told that due to all the units being let the internet was extremely slow.
good grounds, close to water , walk,
we booked a double room two months before travel and were given a room with three singles in it as they had a big party booking in for one night only. room next to us was free on our second night.
Easy to find location, handy to shops etc
A great location with easy access to restaurants. Good washing facilities and cooking too for those who need it. Very neat and clean with pleasant staff.
Paying for internet access on a 24 hour basis. I don't mind paying a fee but it should be based on usage not time.
A very well laid out property with very pleasant staff, within walking distance of the lake.
Good facilities. Only short walk to centre of town and lakeside.
Comfortable room Easy walk into town Very helpful staff
The bed is too soft
Charging extra for bed linen, charging extra for pots and pans, paying for WiFi that didn't work, different room than advertised.
Location, friendly staff. Clean barbeque. Good parking. Handy to shopping centre, and road to Milford Sound.
No tea, coffee, sugar or milk to make a cuppa. Had to pay $9.00 for bed linen.
We stayed here whilst visiting Milford Sound. Under five minutes to walk to town centre bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Park outside your door.
They have only one dorm and it's very spacious, as are dining and living areas. Enough showers and toilets, everything is clean. Wifi was good but paid. Town is tiny so location doesn't matter, anyway 5 min to everything.
Lack of sockets. Have to pay $5 for all kitchen wire and for lockers to keep it. No free salt, sugar or anything. Do not allow to check in earlier but can keep luggage.
Paid wi-fi useless as could not use in cabin because signal strength was too weak. Room was quite dated.
Easy to find, close to downtown restaurants & grocery store
Wi-fi challenging as it can be all over NZ
The staff helper, Lisa, was incredibly helpful. She helped us book on a tour and was very informative. :) The kangaroo jumper was pretty cool too!
Seriously? A dorm with three plug outlets, two of which you have to go under other people's beds to get to? We've had cellphones for a couple of decades now, isn't it time you starting catching up to technology????
It was very peaceful and well presented
was a bit disappointing when we paid for a delux family cabin and the TV wouldn't work on most of the channels. A kitchen sink would be nice for when you are making a hot drink.
The kitchen was very clean and was great to use. It was lovely to sit down in the dining room afterwards. We hired a kitchen utensils box that had everything we needed. Everything was very well organised. Also very close to the shops, easy walking distance.
