Very well run holiday park with good facilities and well positioned for the town and lake.
Very nice and beautiful holiday park with a good kitchen, BBQ facilities etc. Our room was tidy and comfortable.
If you want stay here, please, read the Fine Print carefully: be sure that you have your own towels and blankets (!!!) to avoid additional fees. No free wi-fi.
close to restaurants and town
The bed was extremely hard.
Te location is excellent. Good price and friendly staff. We stayed for 3 nights.
We could feel the springs in the queensized bed. But not a big deal, just a notice.
Familly house was awseome.
The room was spacious and clean
There were only 2 power sockets in the room to be shared between 10 bunks, and they were placed very far from the bunks
The kitchen looked great, but you have to pay for pots and pans for cooking at this hostel. We booked for a "deluxe" cabin only to find out we have to pay extra to get a blanket and bed sheet, please read the fine print before booking. The staff were not very friendly and this felt particularly bad when you arrived after a long day's drive.
The helpful friendly staff that really made us welcome and allowed us to park our car up for the day whilst we visited the sounds before leaving for another destination.
Nothing except possibly having scouring pads available for cleaning pots and pans.
We didn't like having to hire bedding linen and bath towels as we expected to have these included in ensuite accommodation.
Clean facilities, large kitchen & dining area, lots of accom options for every budget. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Quit place Very good facilities for campers
No blankets, no towels, after complaining we got some without Charge. Kitchen has absolutely nothing, no pans, glasses....can rent it for 5NZ$. Closes kitchen 10am direct after checkout time for cleaning, worst time possible. Booked a "Deluxe chalet" and got "Standard Cabin", no refund but weird explanation. Worst value for money we had on the Island until now
Very helpful, very pleasant staff. Rooms very basic. Liked the holiday feeling with all the campers and tents there, and a community room and kitchen.
Good location. Clean facilities and toilet facilities. Paid wifi was pretty good.
Very money oriented. $5 for renting kitchen utensils. Worse still, another $5 for luggage storage; I was off to the Milford track for a few days and had a booking with them when i came back and they still charged me $5 for luggage storage.
Very tidy and clean
I guess the people walking down the front of the motel units all hours of the night
The location and friendly staff.
No shower doors. No towels provided, although towel service was in the information.
Friendliness . Location. Cleanliness and facilities.
We couldn't stay longer!
location is good, fairly clean, sitting area spacious!
I would not name deluxe chalet a room with no blankets. A blanket cost 9$ p.p extra. Kitchen dishes cost 5$ p.p extra, leaving your bag after checkout (while you hike for example) cost 10$ per bag extra. overall ambiance is poor value for money. For the price you end up paying, other nicer places are available.
Close to the centre
Dirty bathroom and room...It looked like they hadn't clean them before our arrival. Not worth for the amount of money spent!
The location was reasonable, although Te Anau is not very big so it isn't hard to be central. There is another holiday park closer to the lake that is more reasonable. The room was fairly clean.
It is expensive for what you get. $100 a night without blankets or towels (those have to be hired at extra cost). The room had a bed and en suite, but I would value a nights stay closer to $60.
Nice location very close to town centre. Peaceful area, clean and big public kitchen, plenty space for u laundry to dry in front of the holiday park.
Only one public bathroom and toilet! Though its very clean. But so far from some of the single room.
Flexibility of leaving luggage and no transfer of room between stays V helpful staff
Good location to town and lake.. Very comfortable room
We used the kitchen/dining room which was clean and spacious. Just could not understand why they needed to charge to borrow crockery and cooking items. Surely these could be included like they are in hostels. Paid Internet wifi with 3rd party was very slow
Hidden costs. They charged NZD9 for each set of bedding. This was not included in the cost of the room.
The TV room with the large open fire made for a great comfortable setting while entertaining a group. Staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to help us whenever they were asked. The entire group enjoyed the stay and facilities
Spacious room. Very well informed and genuinly friendly staff
Make sure you bring your own cooking equipment. Although this ensures a very neat clean kitchen, which I liked
