Jill and Alan couldn't do enough for us. Ferrying us into town was all part of the service.
The local port sometimes works through the night!
Jill is a very nice and helping host. The house is amazing as it is located on one of the highest points in Napier.
Price is a little bit to high
Our first experience of a b&b was made very pleasurable by Jill and Allans approach to looking after their guests. We will be returning to enjoy The Landing in the near future.
The hosts Jill and Allan- their attention to detail, their hospitality is warm without being overbearing. Home cooking is spot on. It's clean, quiet and comfortable.
It was all great!
This was our first time staying in a B& B and it was really lovely, Jill is a wonderful host who made us feel really welcomed. The rooms are lovely and the views are really beautiful. We stayed for two nights with friends and Jill was happy to drive us into town and drop us off at the All Blacks game the next night. ( she also makes a mean breakfast). Would definitely stay there again.
We were ecstatic to be given a free room upgrade for our stay and the views from our room was stunning especially the sunset. Jill and Alan were great hosts and made us feel so welcomed. They were so knowledgeable about area and gave us some great recommendations. Its a pity we were only stopping in Napier for a night. Would definitely stay longer when we visit again.
Jill and Allan are the best hosts we have ever had. The landing was the best place where we stayed in New Zealand
Amazing service and wonderful place. Very nice weekend away would definitely return.
Fantastic stay, amazing views & friendly hosts. Highly recommend.
The location, hosts and room were all excellent.
Great hosts who were very informative. Delicious breakfast. Fabulous view from the lounge.
Our room was not what we thought we had booked but still fine.
Hosts are really friendly and made me feel welcome. Great view over the working port.
Room was just a bedroom in a house. Other options available. Wish I had picked one.
Wonderful people. Good food and awesome views.
Our hosts were very welcoming and informative The location and view is amazing Great breakfast!
The siting of the house is spectacular and the views are breathtaking. The hosts are extraordinarily gracious and helpful and provide valuable advice and tasty breakfast. The accommodations provide privacy, comfort and great aesthetics. Outstanding choice if visiting Napier.
We loved everything! The house is beautiful with the most amazing views and a quick drive to town. Jill and Alan were incredibly hospitable, including driving us to dinner in town and ensuring I had gluten free options for breakfast. I would highly recommend the Bayview suite. We would absolutely stay here again!
It is hard to think of anything we didn't like. The wifi had a weak signal on the top floor but that is literally the only thing I could think of to include in "what I didn't like"! Excellent B&B.
The Landings is a brilliantly designed modern house with spectacular views. Best of all is your host - Jill - who could not give a warmer welcome.
The house is very modern, with a huge amount of glass that lets one feel a part of the view. Jill and Allan are most accommodating hosts, and a great deal of fun. Jill's breakfasts are outstanding with homemade muesli, loads of fresh fruit, and a cooked breakfast made to order if desired. Parking at the B&B is available in one of the 2 garages. Jill and Allan are very willing to drive guests down into town if they don't want to take their car, and a taxi back to the house is only about $10NZD. We were there during Art Deco Weekend when parking was impossible in town, so this was a much appreciated service. Rooms are very clean and well-supplied, with comfy beds, tv's and a complimentary bottle of local wine.
The streets to the top of the hill can be challenging to negotiate, being very narrow and winding. Although free Wi-Fi is offered throughout the property, there had been some problems with it at the time of our visit, so it was a bit sketchy. There is no air conditioning, and as we found throughout NZ, there are no screens on the windows. It was very hot when we visited, but leaving the windows open after dark brought a lot of insect visitors. This is not any different from the other B&B's we experienced in the country, but Napier was warmer than the other places we visited.
The view from the top suite is amazing.
Typical of Bluff Hill the road and parking are tight.
Like? Everything. Jill and Alan are made for this, with a b&b that looks how I want our house to look, in a location to die for overlooking the bay, cooking you breakfast when YOU want it and giving you a lift into town at your convenience. Of all the high quality boutique B&b's in 3 weeks in NZ, the best by a country mile. Don't think, book. Fantastic.
Um, let me think, I am sure something will come to me ... Nope, sorry. Ah. One thing only, The landing is high on a hill (did I mention the great views?) so having a car or getting taxis home is essential. We had a hire car.
Jill was the perfect host. Views are spectacular. Lovely, lively place. Just go, you'll live it.
Hill a bit steep to walk up. But we drove!
Very friendly owners
Superb situation and hosts. Lovely breakfast and Jill was always on hand to help with any queries. It is possible to walk into Napier but a car would be preferable. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
Fantastic location, lovely people, beautiful house. I loved it!
Location superb. Hospitality all that you could hope. Hosts spent a lot of time with us. Nothing could be too much trouble.
