The Moorings Motel and Apartments are just 5 minutes’ from Wanaka’s town centre and offer lakeside accommodation with views of the mountains. All rooms feature under-floor-heating and a satellite TV. The wonderful friendly owners , they went out of their way for us, e.g. checking out the weather for the west coast etc., nothing was too much bother. The view was amazing. Everything was spotless.

The room facilities were as described and good. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. The view of the Lake was excellent. The location was convenient for walks into the town or around the lake. The smell of cigar smoke from the room below when sat on the balcony or even opening the patio door. Some kind of smoker/non smoker room segregation is required, not just here but generally.

The feeling of relaxation, being able to walk to shops and reataurants. lenty of space in the unit. Lack of towels, hot weather requires lots of showers. Rushed feeling of staff when booking in and making enquiries. Overall a great place to stay

Great view. Close to town, shops, cafes etc. On main road, but quiet when doors closed. No bathrobes. Only had 2 towels in room.

Beautiful appartment with great views of the lake and an outdoor deck. This exceeded our expectations. The staff were very helpful and when we had a problem lighting our BBQ they promptly sorted it out.
