Beautiful set up, excellent food, as good as anywhere in Auckland. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Just a wonderful time out.
Very welcoming and friendly hosts, great spot for views over the bay, fab fish n chips and super comfortable rooms. Ticks all the boxes!
The owners and stuff make you feel very welcomed. Friendly and very well run boutique hotel. Excellent restaurant.
The rooms were nice, comfortable bed, great bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful with complimentary pick up and drop off to the ferry. Overall it was a great place to stay.
The only downside was the price. We paid $300 for the night, but I would have said a fair price would have been $230.
The room was well furbished and had an excellent bathroom with a god supply of towels and gorgeous toiletries. Best bee he has ever slept in, according to my husband. Free WiFi and breakfast included but unfortunately wevet before this was available. Offer free pickup and dropoff to ferry.
Shame that there wasn't another option for breakfast.
A lot of noise from the street
The Inn Keepers and staff were truly amazing, this property is an oasis. The attention to detail is incredible everything from the Aesop products to perfectly themed books and catalogues. No detail has been overlooked. The food is on another level, the Oysters a must, the wine list fabulous. If you're staying on Waiheke stay here.
We were warmly welcomed and attended to by the owners. Everything is is low key and geared toward your relaxation. The room was spotless and ridiculously cozy. The adjoining restaurant was fantastic. Just a fantastic place
That we didn't get to spend more time here.
Very personable and helpful staff; delicious décor; central location; wharf transfers; lovely linen and toiletries; and not least, proper working air con.
Not your fault - the view from Room 3, awful in every way. Some views of this sort have a retro industrial charm but not this. Guess it's just too hard...
First rate room with perfectly thought out touches. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Right in the middle of Oneroa but room nice and quiet.
Attention to detail. Fantastic staff. Brilliant location.
The decor is just lovely. All white - clean and fresh, with a maritime theme. The food in the restaurant is worth a trip to the island on its own. If you are staying the staff treat you like royalty and go out of their way for you. Late in the afternoon on the day we checked out we had planned to catch a bus down to the ferry terminal and had called back to the Oyster Inn to collect luggage they had kindly stored for us. We mentioned that we'd planned to bus-it but they said "no, they would drive us down 'cos that was what they did'. The Kombi wasn't available so the owner drove us in his BMW. How nice was that!
Would've appreciated an iron in the room. The room was quite small but a chair to sit in might be an idea. Watching TV while sitting or lying on the bed - the angle was wrong.
Everything - the rooms, the restaurant, the staff and the location were outstanding!
Spectacular views over the Bay; very friendly and efficient staff; excellent food. What more is there?
The Inn really did more than meet expectations. All the staff are lovely and welcoming. The location and ambiance are a winning combination. Highly recommend
This place is a class act. Every detail is so thoughtfully put together, down to the coordinating beach towels and kit bag put out ready for use. Luxury facilities with a quaint and personalised touch. The shop is lovely - a tasteful edit of things you didn't know you desperately wanted and the food (and view) is to die for. Go before this place becomes insanely expensive.
Amazing welcoming staff who all knew who we were and were and super friendly and attentive. Beautiful room with great bathroom and the best bed I've ever slept in!!
Very conveniently located to the beach. The business is primarily a restaurant and only has 3 rooms. We stayed in room 3 which is next to the entrance and gift shop. It was a little noisy when they were closing up the restaurant for the night but quieted down and was very quiet over night. The proprietors were very nice and opened the restaurant 1/2 hour early to give accommodate our schedule and feed us the included breakfast at 8am which was very nice of them as we were the only ones in the restaurant. room was very nice and clean. We would stay there again if we went back to Waiheke Island.
The staff were more than lovely. I have been raving about every aspect of the place to my friends and family. You can tell that the innkeepers are well traveled and have brought the best of the outside world to a lovely, little place in Waiheke. The food was amazing. By far the best in New Zealand that I've had. Simple, clean and a complete focus on bringing together beautiful flavours. They know how cuisine should be done, unlike most restaurants in New Zealand. I love it there- can't wait to go back.
The only complaint is that the noise from outside the rooms travels quite well into the rooms.
