We were very impressed, in fact blown-away! The lovely up-to-date, modern, comfortable and spacious room was superb. The service was excellent, and the help getting us to our room was really appreciated, and necessary, considering the spread-out nature of the hotel. We made use of the self-help laundry facilities, very useful, as there aren't always such facilities available in some hotels. We had two lovely meals (dinner and breakfast), with excellent service. Well done Rees!

The condo's were spacious with a good size balcony and lots of windows to enjoy the great views of the lake and mountains. The rooms were also very quiet, never heard our neighbors. Yuki was a tremendous help with making any reservations we needed and was very knowlegable about the area. He recommended a restaurant in town called Brittannia in Queenstown. Great food! We ate there twice while visiting the area. Even though we had our own car there we still enjoyed the free shuttle the hotel provides for getting into town. If your going to have a few drinks in town it's the best way to travel.

King Room with huge balcony, fabulous view overlooking the lake and mountains. Modern, clean, large room. Apartment rooms even better. Great staff, very helpful in all areas, lobby, restaurant and tour bookings. Restaurant highly recommend for dinner, and great quality full or continental breakfast. Walk into Queenstown along the lake track is great, or take the free courtesy bus. Highly recommend.

Layout of rooms is different in the sense that if you only need one room you share a front door with another room, this can cause noise eg when they go in and out, door closes loudly. Apart from that, it was great.

The views from the hotel were fantastic. The rooms are facing the lake and presented an awesome nature view at any time of day. The rooms are also very nicely and tastefully furnished. I loved the place. The location is a bit far from downtown Queenstown and I found that I had to take a taxi to meet up with my tour groups.

The location, the view and the kitchen facilities were all fabulous. The apartment was beautifully furnished, underfloor heating was a bonus. Housekeeping was cheerful and efficient. The apartment only had one bathroom with no bathtub, which was disappointing and difficult with a family of 4. The small bedrooms made it hard for the children to share the room and have room for their suitcase. I also felt like the service was very mediocre for a hotel of this calliber - a case of "over promise and under deliver" which leaves a feeling of disappointment. The staff seemed young and unhappy almost to the point of being rude.

The cleaning staff were excellent - professional and helpful We chose the Rees as we required a kitchen and a good amount of space as travelling with a young child. The apartments are much smaller than they appear on the website. The location is also a little furtehr out of town than the impression given on the website. Further, when we were there, the hotel seemed to be staffed (very thinly) by young backpackers with limited expertise in being staff at a five star hotel. Very expensive for what it is. If one expected a four star hotel then you might be happy with it but given the rpice I could not recommend this hotel. A local person had mentioned that the hotel had gone into receivership last year and it shows.

Modern Hotel with good amenities. Located just outside town which for some is either plus or minus. Situate on the lake but the view is only available to some rooms. be careful in choosing your room. No warm feeling to the hotel. Cold and clinical.

The front desk staff were great. The room was exceptional in terms of space, comfort, facilities and view. I asked for a lake view and Boy, did we get a great view! The hotel is about 2km out of the town centre but we had a car so that was fine. My wife and I couldn't have asked for more.I Have stayed in may hotels over the years and I can't remember a better experience. If it had been a bit closer to town it would have been better but 9.9 out of 10 is still a pretty good score!! PS: Take care with the driveway down to levels 3 & 4, it's steep and narrow.

Stylish fittings, amazingly comfortable bed and bed linens. When we first arrived I was a bit taken aback at the size of the room (being small) but decided that the quality of the fittings and the view made up for this. We did not mind the walk into Queenstown as the weather was lovely and we like to walk, I imagine though that proximity to the township would be a barrier for some.
