“I loved the decor and the view over the Lake. The bar in the lobby offered very good coffee to be sipped in comfort whilst gazing at the great view. Also, very comfortable bedding and spacious ensuite.”

The apartments are well furnished and equipped. It is in a great location and offers great views if you are in a lake view room. The couches were not comfortable. The cleaning of the rooms were not always thorough. The apartments and rooms did not have dvd players so we could not view our own dvds. We have children and at times we would prefer to show them the dvds that they are used to rather than what is offered on tv or the pay movies.

The views are amazing. The staff are amazing. The rooms are just okay. Yuki the concierge is fantastic. The hotel would be lost without him. The staff are a great reason to stay there. Duty manager walks around scowling all day, but everyone else genuinely lovely. Free wifi was great. The beds and pillows are too soft. No alternatives, ended up sleeping on the couch. No vanity kit, no pool, no spa. Shower is walkin, which means no glass to protect the floor. Bathroom gets very wet even if you're careful, which means wet socks if you walk in later and forget. There are more comfortable places to stay in Queenstown, for less money. The hotel needs to fix up the bathroom/shower/floor issue, consider turning a room into a spa for guests, and provide more than one type of pillow to guests. Shuttle bus is not frequent enough, and stops entirely for 4 hours over lunch. So you must walk or pay for a taxi. It is a 45 minute walk if you are brisk. I'm 29, and fit. Don't assume it's just old people complaining about the walk. It's a lovely walk, but it's not if it's raining or freezing.

Fantastic.. We have a fantastic time at the Rees. Comfortable, private, great service especially the Conciege team who are very helpful in organizing and planning of the various activities. They gave us good advice on which activites to take on which day during our stay according to the weather. We will definitely come back and stay with the Rees the next time we come to Queenstown.

Pre-arrival email giving greeting, information about the destination and assistance in booking tour is unexpected and appreciated. The 2- bedroom apartment we stayed is clean, new and comfortable. Provision of free wifi, complete and new kitchen and laundry facilities and the electronic wall stove are particularly appreciated. Most staff are friendly and helpful. Bed and pillow are too soft. Tour pick up service should be arranged at the hotel entrance rather than the highway roadside near the hotel.

It was extremely comfortable, spacious and very important to us quiet! Most accommodation in Queenstown is spoiled by noisy traffic, but at The Rees we felt as if we were the only ones there, couldn't even hear other guests. There were times that we opted to return to the apartment during the day to just enjoy the atmosphere there and also the view. There was't anything we didn't like, it was perfect. We are trying to find a date when we can return and we won't be staying anywhere but The Rees.

We had the most incredible view of the lake and mountains from our room and balcony. Very convenient parking. Great breakfast. Loved the heated bathroom floor and the towel rack as it got cold the last few days of our stay! The entire staff was so friendly, courteous, professional and most helpful! The shuttle into town is very well run and convenient. The walk to town is about 25 minutes and did not walk back at night as it was not well lit. What a treat to stay at this luxury hotel!

Loved the relaxing ambience and quality of the bed, bathroom and hotel. All the staff were friendly and we utilized the free shuttle service. Safe carpark even while away 'doing' the Routeburn Track. A little distance from town and shuttle not always available.. Took us 35mins to walk in with small packs. No problem if you have a car.

As the Rees apartments are on the lakeside of the road the view over the water up to the mountains is uninterrupted & fabulous. We shared a 2 bedroom apartment with friends & it was great to be able to eat in as well as out when it suited us. The apartment was warm & comfortable & the balcony was lovely on sunny afternoons. The Rees apartments were further out from Queenstown than we realised (45 minute walk). There is a free shuttle but with a first in first served basis you don't always get a ride. As we didn't always have a car ended up needing to catch taxis quite often.

The hotel was close enough to the shopping/dining area of Queenstown yet far enough away so that it was quiet. A courtesy bus is available to take you to and from town. The views are simply breathtaking.

The location was spectacular. Easy access to city centre. Friendly staff. The tasting menu with accompanying wines was about the best dining experience I have had-and I have travelled all over the world. Peregrine Pinot Noir is worthy of note!! Leo is a wonderful waitperson. The smell of cigarette smoke in my bathroom on the second day
