+ Location: Very nice, about a 4 minute walk away from the ferry terminal and maybe a minute to the city centre. + The Villa itself: Quaint but colorful house. Everytime you enter it seems there was something new to see. +The Rooms: Just the right size and cozy. I stayed in a 6 share dorm with 3 other girls. Free linen and blankets are provided as well. + Hot tub (especially nice after walking the Queen Charlotte Track :) ) + Free WiFi + Free Apple Crumble & Ice Cream every evening (Yummy!) +Milly the hostel dog!! Many thanks especially to Rob and Katrin for helping me with booking my Queen Charlotte Track experience and answering all my questions. It was aweseme! - some other travellers who didn't know how to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen

lovely old character building, comfortable, very friendly and cheerful staff, free pudding and breakfast, free access to DVDs, very clean and tidy, sleep with teddy bear for 50 cents, spa, great outdoor settings with places for sitting in sun, access to hot water bottles Bit cold at night which I suspect was because of lack of insulation in room we were in

My daughter and I found the staff, warm, friendly, and very welcoming. The Villa was clean and tidy considering the volume of people who were staying. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return to the Villa in the near future. All good things come to an end.

Comfortable bedroom close to restaurants and ferry. Potential for a great stay... No control of rowdy guests by staff - there where very noisy drunken guests. The noise carried on until 2am!! The three men involved stomped down the passage, slamming bathroom / toilet doors repeatedly, and held noisy discussions throughout the night. We have stayed in backpackers all over the world over many years, and the staff have always taken control when guests get out of hand! We cannot recommend this place.

Nice to pocket and clean and tidy, budget friendly backpackers lodge. If you are looking for one night only and catching a next early morning ferry then this is a very useful and worth place to add in the list.

Nice place and convenient location in town with friendly staff. We stayed in an ensuite room, which was fairly basic and a bit cramped - but fine for our purpose and good value for the price. Enjoyed our deck/ walkway overlooking the place.

Friendly place. Wobbly bunk beds. Very little movement from one person top or bottom would have the whole thing rocking. This could be fixed by attaching them to the walls perhaps.

Great atmosphere and really close to town. Gorgeous garden. The staff were very helpful and the girl at reception helped me book the Queen Charlotte Track (even got a $10 off deal for Cougarline). Really enjoyed my stay!

Awesome courtyard area which encouraged people to come together and meet new people. As a solo traveller I found this to be so valuable Basic bedding but you expect this from a backpackers lodge
