Had a lovely room on the top floor with great views. Very spacious. Will ask for this room again.Handy to lovely cafes and restaurants, all just out the door.
The service staff were very pleasant The sea views Easy access to vehicle
Friendly personable relaxed staff. Travelled with elderly lady, made to feel at home.Nice outlook to sea and boardwalk Very convenient for conference and city amenities
Would have liked to stay longer
friendly staff, nice location
Hotel incl. Salt Restaurant is not the best value for money.
Everything, great location, excellent service, attention to detail, great branches in hotel restaurant, modern beautiful rooms and nice views, close to amenities, free car park
nothing, all was perfect
location. walking and cycling track close to sea, galleries, shops etc. restaurant staff went out of their way to help us define our travelling route as well as seeing to our culinary needs!
having trouble with this! probably the wild weather - blew and rained all the time we were there.

We liked pretty much everything but felt it was a little over-priced if you were to book without a special. I chose a non-sea view room but was pleasantly surprised Room 202 had a view of the sun setting on the Tasman. It was perfect and made for a lovely late afternoon relaxing as the sun set. The king sized bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was clean. The restaurant was beautiful and the service excellent. The platters are great value for money. The gurnard in leeks scrumptious and the lamb divine. We didn't have dessert or breakfast at the hotel.
The bath was odd. A "spa" bath with only four jets on the sides. Not very well designed in terms of giving a decent massage. So if the spa is your deciding factor in staying here, think again. Stay for the location instead. We also didn't like that you had to pay for wifi. I would have thought in this day and age you would have free wifi in the room.
Excellent reception staff, reasonable price breakfast.
The fact that we couldn't eat dinner there because the restaurant was full. We were not told by reception that we should book! Wifi didn't work.
Great views on a beautiful weekend.
We lost the Rugby.
Location fantastic walked ever where Friendly staff
Had a room with view of the Tasmin expected better looked out over roof and had to stand on balcony in order to see it.
Great Location, Wonderful views and access to city, walks etc..
In comparison to another location we stayed on this trip with similiar or better facilites; pricing was over the top. We had two nights at the other resort for half the price.
Great staff, clean room, great location. Whole atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
glasses in our room where dirty didn't have anything to wash it with. otherwise it was a great stay . The lift was so slow and times it stop on the level shaking with only 2 people inside .Very scary
Friendly and helpful staff. Also having a great restaurant in the same place.
View severely obscured by large steel I beam
The Views, Location Decor
Lovely location across the road from the sea. Easy to walk to main shops. Comfortable bed.
We booked a room with a balcony and a sea view but the room had no balcony or sea view. We were given a new room after complaining which had a very narrow balcony and sea view. We felt the photos on the website were misleading. We ate in the restaurant, had very good service but this was not matched with the quality of the food.
The location, the restaurant and the outside bar area were excellent.
There wasn't anything we didn't like. If we had known it was going to be this good we would have stayed longer.
Central location, shopping centre/s near by.
Ad states “Ocean View” true, but you need to go out onto the baloney and turn your head right to see the ocean and left to see the mountain. I was under the impression the rooms looked at the ocean. Only the penthouse rooms had that view, apart from that, still a great hotel to stay.
The cleanliness of the room
The location of the room did not suit the price of the room as having a view of the coast was less as I expected
Room facilities were great and the ambience was modern with surreal ocean views. The staff remembered us during our 3 day stay and were really attentive and accommodating. The food was awesome! Definitely recommend this Hotel.
There was only one lift and it went painfully slow. We didn't get the room view we thought we would get as we were on the other side overlooking a car park - would request another room next time.
