Very convenient to ferry terminal ,shops and the many interesting restaurants and pubs. Good place to stop if coming or going to Wellington.

Very limited car parking, used next doors unpaved building site in the rain.

The hot rooms - no air con. Rooms very dated such as dirty looking tiles in bathroom, no fan in bathroom, poor water pressure, kitchen space right by door/entrance. No toaster of a few plates and a bit of cuttlery. Smelly and scary hallways/corridors to get to room at night, staff not particularly friendly. Pictures on the internet are very misleading to say the least.

Very friendly staff. Room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom spacous. Very well located. It was only 5 minute walk to the main street.

The room was beautiful, clean and inviting. One of the friendliest receptions of any hotel I have been to. Just fantastic. I will most definately be returning.

4 couples stayed on two separate nights - the rooms were very tired - the carpets marked, the bathroom basins chipped. Good Friday each room was $225 NZ grossly overpriced, the other night more reasonable.

Location to ferry, easy access

Room tired,bath grout had mould, needs to be redone. Whole bathroom 'tired'

We liked the big bed! We also liked the view and the business meeting tabels. The location is good.

The tv did not work, most channels had horrible reception and it was so frustrating. Although we were too busy doing other things to bother complaining. Also the bathroom was so old and out of date.

Position was lovely.

Needed a total update, carpet worn, hand basin chipped. Had to wait ages to check in as the guy was talking on the phone. Meals lovely, but not good value.

Convenient parking.(Disabled Park available) Phone call prior to arrival to ensure we knew where to go when checking in late at night. Quiet room Helpful checkin girl. Efficient check out

Location, pool, Closeness to town

Would have liked the Tv on the wall. Away from the sliding door to the balcony. and more furniture instead off two kingsize beds. Sliding door to balcony very heavy/hard to open

the cleaners did a marvellous job.that old saying you cant make a sours ear into a silk purse rings very true of the mecure it needs updating especially the bathroom & tea/coffee facilities

Very friendly staff. Room was very well presented

Had to pay for wi Fi - not too many other place in the world where it isn't free. Had to move the single bed in the room to get any sort of a view of the tv which should have been mounted near the main bed anyway. Lack of security - there was un-restricted access from the balcony which was shared with four other rooms on that same level. No air conditioning which is considered a basic facility today. Unable to leave door open because of security issue. Broken lever on window (not one there) meant room couldn't be locked. Hot and cold water control to shower aged and difficult to operate. Should be operated by a lever action.

The location was good as it is right on the Picton Harbor and close to everything.

The hotel is looking old now. Our room was well worn and in need of a good revamp. It was clean and tidy though.
