“ A modern and very comfortable place to stay. The facilities were far superior to our needs, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay... We received an upgrade to the main suite which was excellent. Overall: couldn't be happier, great value for money ”

Sorry I couldn't choose a word from above as nothing really especially stood out. I liked the location. I visit New Plymouth to go to a family grave at the Te Henui Cemetery so it is handy but I also like to go up the mountain and it is located conveniently for that too and it is handy to the waterfront walk downtown. I thought the person at the desk was more cheerful and friendly than the last time I visited. It is really important to give good personal service. I also liked the recycling bin and the fact that it is a bit back-street. There was nothing I didn't like. Everything that I expected would be provided was. I didn't think it was cheap but motels are remarkably expensive so I have still marked it down for value for money.

Nice and cosy place, large room and bedroom, refrigerator, everything you need for cooking available in the kitchen. Service is friendly. The only thing we did not like is ridiculously high laundry price – washing + powder + drying = 12$! We saw opinions that it was high, but had no idea that’s twice over the prices in other motels.

Room was already a bit shabby. Part of the TV channels were with quite poor reception quality.

Very quiet area Motel had laundry facilities but you have to pay extra to use it. I dont mind paying for soap but make the charges less for the washIng machIne. Also duvet cover and sofa wasnt clean. If I were to stay here again next time I would investigate the place first.

I liked the Timandra Motel because it was clean, comfortable, plenty of space (didn't expect the lounge!) with a kitchenette so we could take our own breakfast things. Having wi-fi included in the cost was very useful. Needed to borrow an iron from the neighbour as the one in our room was too scratched. Also, reception on the tele was awful.

The very small rooms without wardrobes or shelves. This was definately not a two double accomodation. The suitcase table, in only one of the rooms, could not accomodate 1 std suitcase.

Its location - quiet and relaxed. Most pleasant setting. Certainly value for money. It is looking a bit tired and could be in some need of refurbishing.

secluded, economical as we got a good deal by booking online, handy to Inglewood road south. Bit old fashioned, but because of the low price, that was OK

Having the bedroom seperate from the living room the furniture was extremely uncomfortable, the bed not that comfy and the couch appalling. The dining room chairs were not great either. I now have back and neck problems and am on painkillers from the furniture. I will not stay there again becasue of that.

It was in a nice quiet location and not to far from the city. The bedrooms were small but were perfect for us. The main problem we had was it suggests family units as one of the room options but you can only book for 2 people max and we had to pay $20 a night extra for our 13 year old.

Convenient location. Down no-exit street so very quiet. Overall the complex is small and compact, so not a lot of guests - which suited. Just the blind on the front door was stuck in the up position, so you got the shine from the outside lights coming into the lounge.

A pleasant and enjoyable stay, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Got off to a good start to see that they had printed out the known details from booking.com onto the form used for collecting the required personal information. Unfortunately some personal circumstances which did not relate to the accommodation at all I had to cut short my stay, and I regretted this. Nice location with a great view of Mt Taranaki at the end of the road, and the Te Henui Walkway on the doorstep (buit be careful as some of the signage in there is not very helpful!)

Our room (the standalone cottage) was lovely. Very clean and tidy, with pleasant decor and a comfortable bed. It wasn't very warm - one small heater on a really cold night wasn't really enough to keep the cottage cosy. When we arrived the heater was on, but all the windows had been left open, so it took hours to warm up. We'd recommend they get electric blankets as well, so guests can get into a warm bed.

Great spot. Quiet yet close to the main town and beachnot too far away. As I travelled with an elderly mum, it was great for her .no big steps and lots of room in the unit Every thing was neat and clean. We thought it was an older, character place with all mod-cons. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Timandra! Jill Robinson
