Was a great location for the centre of town. Bed was comfortable
We could here the music from the bar next door.
Truthfully their wasn't much to like we were extremely disappointed. For the cost of the place and what they offered was poor.
We didn't get much sleep at all due to they had a band playing down below our room which thumped most the night till late. It was basic and quite dirty not what you expect for a four star accomodation. The amenities were poor on offer and they didn't go to any extra service over and above. Our advice don't stay there as the choice of places in Napier is far superior than this one which offer better value for money. A big disappointment to us and frankly a waste of money and a sleepless uncomfortable night on top.
I asked for a quiet room and was given one on the top floor which was fantastic, the location is very central and the staff very friendly and accommodating.
Not enough parking for guests only 8 -9 spaces for all the rooms and basic room facilities for a 4 star hotel.
Staff very courteous and obliging Hotel very central within the CBD and easy walking for shopping and sightseeing
Our room did not have a compendium - apparently still being printed Sky TV not available No internal contact number to hotel reception - had to contact reception by using my mobile phone Restaurant hours not published for patrons Restaurant was not opened on one day due to the Head Chef being sick - what happened to the 2IC Parking inadequate - why does'nt the hotel pursue some parking arrangements with the management of the car parking building across the road on a quid pro quo basis for patrons Need an extra towel rack in the bathroom room for handtowels/facecloths No radio/clock
nothing not to like
The attached restaurant facility was poor. Limited menu, poor decoration and no alcohol! The room preparation before arrival should have been better. No bath towels, no pillow cases.
We stayed here as we were going to the Mission concert, we were collected from outside the hotel and dropped off in the same place which was really just what we need. Would certainly stay here again next year. Staff were great very friendly and helpful. Handy to great cafe's
The management staff where very helpful and obliging. Location very close to cafes and shopping and with in easy walk of many sites.Fruit in room nice touch.
Should check coffee and tea supplies daily and replenish when required.
Recently refurbished hotel. Staff & new manager trying hard (and succeeding) to remedy a few problems, none of which affected our enjoyment of the place.
Could have made a considerable saving by bookiing through Grabone
it was so handy to main shopping area. deck and view of park great only needed car for longer trips Fruit in room nice touch
car park tight but got used to it. would have liked some more milk for 3 days.
Good central location. Clean and comfortable
Noise from nearby music venue. Lack of Sky TV
The locality right by the venue. Fruit in our room. The view from our room. Great pizzas and hot chocolate.
Excellent decor in the room and reception, in keeping with the Art Deco theme of Napier. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Lift was out of order, but we needed the exercise so not really a problem.
Only staying one night.
Lovely room with modern furnishings. Great location
The staff were Fantastic!!!
Location was fantastic. Room quite spacious.
Lifts were out of order for 24 hours so had to carry bags down 3 floors at end of our stay.
Bed was comfortable.
Ripped duvet, poor channel selection unprofessional management failure to clean roim properly half the days we stayed rotten fruit given to us, overcharging on final account, noisy room. Would never stay there again. Operates more like a backpackers than professional hotel. No service or even a hotel compendium. Had to call on cellphone for assistance. Bad.
Nice and comfortable room in good location. The and coffee machine in the room. Fruit in the room on arrival.
Staff very not informed about what restaurants etc. was open and not on this Christmas Day. No breafast included and expensive to buy.
The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Free WIFI was great.
The carpark was very little and very difficult to get in and out of. There was no cutlery in the room apart from 2 teaspoons. When we arrived, the SKY TV was not working and they were waiting for it to be fixed, however when we checked out 5 days later SKY TV was still not working. SKY TV was one of the reasons we chose this hotel and didn't get the benefits of it. Reception was not staffed appropriately. We didn't know when there would be someone there and when the doors would be locked. On our day of departure we were wanting to check out at 7:30am after being advised there would be someone there at that time, however nobody turned up until 8am at reception.
Very handy location, clean tidy room, friendly staff
Size of the room Aircon Balcony Near park Close to shops and food
Parking area was small and awkward
Great location, just 5 minutes walk from the i site. Very friendly and helpful receptionist and good value for money.
We loved the hospitality offered by the two lovely men who met us late at night, from the restaurant, and organised our rooms. So friendly and helpful.
The hotel was very handy to the city centre, takeaways and supermarkets. It was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were helpful in returning items we left in the room.
The parking was very limited and difficult to negotiate. There was no sky tv although we booked thinking there was.
