Waihi Beach Lodge is a boutique bed and breakfast on Waihi Beach, just 2 hours south-east of Auckland. It provides the perfect base to explore both the Coromandel and Rotorua. All rooms have a nautical theme, reflecting the local area. A TV with DVD player are included. Bath robes and quality toiletries are provided. Suites have the added convenience of a modern kitchenette. There are several great cafes located within walking distance. Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast every morning at the hotel. The location was excellent, 15-20 minute walk from the town centre, and a beautiful part of NZ. The hosts Greg and Ali were really friendly and had that special touch, leaving Muffins and Slices in the room each day. The HANGOVER i had one day.

Beautiful place, wonderful hosts (Greg and Ali); nothing was too much trouble. Quiet, clean and well appointed rooms with the benefit of breakfast and great conversation each morning!

Everything was awesome: breakfast, location, facilities and mostly attitude. Greg and Ali the most hospitable people I have ever met. The best choice at Waihi beach and extremely close to the beach.

We stayed in the Beach suite which is toward the back of the building. It has a spacious interior and two exits. The beach was 100 meters from the doorsteps which made watching the sunrise extra easy. The hosts Ali and Greg were most gracious and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and was accompanied with excellent conversation and beautiful view of the surrounding beach and cliff from the balcony. The hosts were all around helpful in advising dining spots to things to do in the area. There were fresh flowers in the room and Ali baked us delicious treats while we were there.

The owner's were very heapful and friendly and went out out of their way to make the stay enjoyable would recommend it to others. Bryan The stay for the week was too short

The Waihi Beach Lodge is the perfect place to spend a few relaxing days right at the sea. Spacious and spotless rooms, cosy beds and it's located almost directly at Waihi Beach, you just have to walk across the road. The owners are wonderful hosts. Whatever you are up to they'll do everything they can to make your stay worthwhile. Breakfast was a real treat with fresh fruits, selfmade muesli and bakeries as well as a full range of fry ups, if you really want to stick to your English habits. We stayed for three nights and we really enjoyed exploring the surroundings of Waihi Beach. With many beautiful beaches within easy reach you will be spoilt for choice.
