El hotel está muy bien, pero los precios eran demasiado altos ya que coincidí con el mundial de rugby.

Able to park car for nominal amount and when booking in receptionist advised best place to park for ease of access to room. Wonderful not to have to go through reception when enter/exit.

Pillows small and flimsy and only 3 in room so couldn't use 2 each.

The hotel was a bit drab, and the room I was in and the pool and gym area could do with new paintwork.

I appreciated the staff and comfort. I really liked the swimming pool and my granddaughter loved it, but it could have been a little warmer. The restaurant was good but I would have liked a salad bar available and different desserts(E.G.cheese cakes or simple apple crumble). Very clean and tidy.

It was just a bit too much of a climb up the Hill and we had to have taxi's more often than we would have liked.My husband and I are gold card holders.

They are not cleaning the room everyday, they just make up the bed, the location is up the hill a long walk from the city.

The Mercure was pretty close to town and you could walk in easily but it was also just far away from the cbd that the rooms were really quiet at night.

The hotel itself is a bit dated and the car park has the cars right up beside each other (pretty cozy).

We had to cut our stay short because of returning to the UK early to deal with a burglary at home, so we didn't need the 3 nights I had booked on a non-cancellable booking. They couldn't give us a refund but were very obliging about giving us a cre4dit for some of the amount apportionable to teh night we weren't there. The staff were very helpful throughout. The chef is excellent. The indoor pool is very good.

It is on a very steep hill, but after staying there for a day we realised that you can cut out some of the hill by entering through a back entrance.

Staff was very friendly and amazing . The food was amazing at the restaurant and I ate to my heart's content. Loved the desserts. Very safe and secure area. Just 5 mins walk to Cuba Mall. Great location. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

We thought the price was resonable for the facilities that were available. Staff were all very pleasant and accomodating.

Shower over bath. Interconnecting door to next room, this was not sound proofed and we could hear plainly next doors conversation even though they were not talking loudly. Thus not very private for both parties. Chose not to eat 'snack food provided' Not clear whether this was complimentary or not as no details. Was this a deliberate ploy? Car parking was expensive. Website stated parking available. No cost stated until after booking had been made thus making booking more expensive.

The internet connection is a complete rip-off. They charge 30NZD for 24h of wifi usage. Otherwise you are left with 30 minutes of free wifi per device (plus a limitation to 8MB). That charges is like an additional charge on the room price and should be taken into consideration (if you need internet). The gym was very old and almost all the equipment is broken. In addition, it was so cold in the gym that you could not work out without getting a cold. The hotel staff is very friendly, but they cannot make up what they lack in cleanliness. Very disappointing!
