Mercure Wellington  

I liked the housekeeping service when I needed things the availability to the items were fast and in my room from 5 minutes of calling, And I left my camera in the room and 10 minutes after I left they found it and called me straight away. The reception people were all so helpful and the housekeeper was helpful polite and made me want to smile =)

I didn't like that I booked a double room with 2 beds and got a room with 1 bed and had to share with my friend and she is not a great person to share a bed with.

Recycling in room was impressive, never seen that before in a hotel. Location to city was convenient.

I think the prices charged for parking are excessive, and the price for internet is beyond a joke. These days internet should be provided free of charge in hotels, if MacDonalds can do it, so can hotels. $20 for 24 hours, and even then you still have usage limits, is far too high, and for that reason alone I would not return, or recommend this hotel.

Clean modern hotel - nice views overlooking Wellington.

Only disadvantage was the hill.

Childrens selection of meals not great wodnt get them pizza again, a thin crust with cheese n tomatoes hardly a pizza. Parking should be inclusive of price. My only other concern was we stayed on a floor with no cooking facilities which we choose and a big crowd of indians, brought their cooking facilities withthem and stunk out the whole floor we were on. Shodnt be allowed, the odour goes through walls.

Nicely located within a stroll to all the good eating places and interest spots of central Wellington. The pool was an added pleasure.

Chosen it because of the pool, had a long day before, so helped to relax and energize for the next day. Sauna helped as well

Pool requires refurbish, a bit old fashioned.

Not much I'm afraid.

At $180 a night I found it over-priced. It is tired. Needs a real facelift. I am a swimmer and was looking forward to the pool and gym. It really didn't inspire me. Quite frankly, it looked grotty. We were sent to a single queen room for starters. I booked a taxi for 8.00am Sunday and got a call from reception 8.15am Saturday asking if I the taxi was for Saturday or Sunday. It wasn't the experience I looked forward to. I'm not a whinger, but it just wasn't value for money and I didn't enjoy the stay.
