Beach Hotel  

I liked the fact that there was ample room for all of us and each of us three guys had thier own beds.!

Buyer beware hotel. Go somewhere else. The advertisement on line was criminally misleading and didn't even come close to what was actually in the room. We stayed in Rm. 102...what a dump. The toilet was broken (didn't flush). The front door lock was broken. We had to climb in through the window to unlock the door. When we told the staff about it all they did was come to the room, manipulate the lock with the key until it opened. Never fixed it or move us to another room. No complimentary coffee in the room. No Internet unless you paid for it. No flat screen TV (this was advertised) The TV that was in the room was so small we could barely make out what was on the screen. Paint peeling off the walls. Missing trim pieces. Furniture in the room looked like it was dragged from the local junkyard. Paying 356 dollars for two nights was highway robbery. Wasn't even worth half that much. Does not come close to a four star hotel rating. Barely a two. The full breakfast that was included was more like a continential breakfast. Horrible! No assigned parking area. We came back from dinner and all the parking spots were taken. Had to park down the street. The pool area was appalling. Not inviting at all.

One lady receptoon staff on Thirsday - Friday, April 18-19, 2013 did not arrange to send 3 tea bags at night on Thirsday. Moreover, when she saw my 11 year old child, she was rude to him and he was afraid. This made me so angry. I talked to her but she didn't care and was rude!!!

Excellent location, I could not have wished for a better spot. Staff were great and very helpful.

Road side rooms were extremely noisy until the traffic slowed at 2 am. Most bathroom fittings leaked.

The hotel is crap. No service whatsoever. The breakfast was very poor. No room service, no restaurants in the hotel, no proper WiFi..No ice serviced..the mini bar was an old fridge in the room with one small water bottle in it. The staff is very arrogant. They thought we are not arabs and as soon as I entered they were making fun of us. This was the worst experience I had in Oman!!!

The staff were very helpful. Allowed us to check in early and helped us organise trips. We were given an upgrade!

Value for money for comfortable and spacious apartment. Children loved the swimming pool. It was close to the beach and waterfront cafes.

Very noisy in the evening from cars/motorbikes. One room good the other required a lot of maintenance.No instruction manuals: TV etc.

2 bed apartment was a great size. Price was good. Location to see sights of Muscat & beach great. Convenient shopping mall opposite for coffee & meals although we catered ourselves in evening with very young children. Hotel general staff were friendly especially cleaners.

Kitchen pans & utensils had to be asked for. When they arrived looked as though they were 20 yrs old & everything was dirty. Even went & bought wine glasses. Dining staff were grumpy. Pool was not heated, freezing in Feb.

The breakfast : very low quality (not very clean plates and cutleries, very limited selection, awfull coffee, uneatable eggs)

The central location is excellent, staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great - perfect for a family. Beds were on the harder side of comfortable, but this suited us. Unit was clean and linen fresh

The hot water didn't work, which is OK in summer but not good now. The TV turned off after 15 minutes and would not turn back on. Kitchen was bare of cooking equipment

It was very close to Qurum beach and it was the cheapest hotel in this area. The 2 bed apartment was spacious and comfortable.

We liked the spacious 2 bedroom appartment and its location quite near the pool. We liked the location very much and is general its very much value for money (considering prices of other hotels/resorts in Muscat)

Accommodation was a bit rusty and not everything was working well (showers etc). we had e leakage in bathroom which wasnt repaired

The rooms were very old and very dirty. The furniture smelt awful. My daughter picked up a sicknees bug there and I think it was because everything was so old and idrty and in desperate need of updating.There were no cooking utensils in the kitchen even though it was a self catering apartment. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The breakfast was made up of very little choice and was often cold. I would never visit this hotel again. Infact it ruined my stay in Oman which is otherwise a beautiful country. This hotel is sold as traditional arabic. We live in Qatar so we know what traditional Arabic is. This is not, it is just old and dirty.

We enjoyed the hotel's location. It is in walking distance to both several gulf facing cafes and restaurants and the Royal Opera House Muscat.

The hotel looks attractive from the street; however, looks are deceiving. The hotel has no lift. The stairwells are circular; tall individuals may bang their heads. All room doors open to the exterior. The breakfast area is an afterthought consisting of an enclosed atrium with a low corrugated metallic roof. The orange juice is a Tang-like concoction. The hotel shows its age and is in need of a major and urgent remodeling.

Very near to beach, cafes, restaurants

This is not an hotel but group of apartments.Breakfast room is constructed with partitions between villas. Poor service, poor breakfast, noise of racing cars at main street with a daily rate of 64 omr including tax. If you are looking for budget hotel with basic services go for Tulip Inn which is much cheaper, much better and managed as a real hotel.

The location of the hotel is nice, close to city center and shopping areas The two bed room flat I took was spacious.

Flat cleanliness is questionable, bed sheets are smelly, most of the flat facilities and appliances are not working, although the flat has two bathrooms, only the shower and one toilet were usable. When I checked in there was no hot water in the flat, when I complained they told me that they cannot fix it before morning, they sounded very careless about my complain and said that I can report to the manager in the morning if I wish.

Great location close to shops, cafes and the beach. Staff will make eggs to your liking in the moring although they won't appear happy about it.

Not enough crockery & cuttlery for the 2 bed apartment.
