Beautiful, peaceful hotel with a friendly atmosfere. Helpful staff.

The fact that the staff mistook city centre for a mall. We asked: where is the ciy centre and they directed us to a mall with that name.

They have Avery friendly staff and so cooperative people well don for the mangement wishing all the best to all staff Thanks

The hotel busy in the process of refurbishing the upper floors so the rooms and lobby smelt like spray paint.

It's good hotel even it's old but it's clean and comfort.

3-Floor hotel. Very clean in all aspects. Staff is willing to help. 20 minutes drive to and from the airport. 3 blocks from the beach in Qurum area: nice and quiet but far from many attractions. Embassies around in a residential, modern and clean neighborhood.

Booked a deluxe room that in the reservation was willing to accomodate 3 adults paying extra bed. We were advised only by the hotel upon arrival that the room is small to accomodate 3 people. The "extra bed" was just a Mattress and one of us had to sleep on it, on the floor. Services offered are poor and limited. No bar and no alcohol is offered. Breakfast is quite limited too and dinner up to standard but with good arabic specialities. Towels in bathroom need improvement or full replacement. Room is quite warm and ac needs to be on all the time even with cooler temperatures. Windows cannot be opened. Very few taxis around: Rent a car!

Over-rated location - the beach is muddy and not suitable for swimming at most times, also not very close to key tourist features. The hotel staff were not very helpful regarding tourist activities or suggestions on what to do in a short time( one gave me a tourist brochure for Salalah even tho I was in Muscat!). front desk staff also seemed to have 'arrangements' with certain taxi drivers as prices were higher when organised by the hotel than when hailed on the street. The room size was adequate however mini bar had not been restocked from previous guest, windows were dirty, old linen, stained towels - the lift stunk of cigarette smoke. The buffet breakfast was awful - poor quality fruits, awful scrambled eggs, minimal choice (tho I did not ask for eggs to be especially cooked). I rate this hotel as poor and overpriced - website needs to show that this is a 'dry' hotel with minimal facilities. Lucky guests can use Hyatt facilities next door!

Het is voor de prijs gewoon een goed hotel! Personeel super vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Niets is ze teveel! Wat dat betreft kan het nabij gelegen Hyatt nog wat van ze leren!

Nice location

Beds were very old, mattress was so soft had to ask for it to be changed. Pillowcases almost looked like they had been slept on - not ironed. Towels quite old also.

Room was cosy

The breakfast was not very good...I Tried to stay safe with boiled eggs but the were overboiled. Biggest complaint is that I was overcharged after having paid for my 2 nights stay. The accountant was not available to explain the reason for the 12 riyals in extra charges and due to time limits I had to pay and leave. I left my number instructing them to call me and explain the situation and they promised the would but didnt. Poor service on their side.

It was very close to a wonderful beach. Easy to move around (by taxi) into other parts of Muscat.

Hotel is next door to Grand Hyatt hotel and hence can use all of their F and B facilities!

No restaurant or coffee shop although I understand one is planned.

The rooms are comfortable and well-lit. It's clean. It's near the beach. It provided free wifi.

I think it's a little expensive. I didn't like the restaurant. The dinner I ordered was not well-cooked and much too salty. The breakfast is quite limited.

The hotel was very quiet, which was great. Great location right next to shanti beach. Clean and spacious room. No real food outlet around but the Grand Hyatt is right next door so you can enjoy all of their restaurants.

Did not try the breakfat, so can't tell. Did not enjoy being woken up before 9am by the cleaner knocking on the door.

It was very close to the beach, like 100 yards, and that section of the beach is very pretty. Next door to the Beach Bay is the Grand Hyatt. It offers night life and 3 restaurants that were very busy. The Beach bay offered a nice cozy outdoor shesha patio that was also very nice. In all, a great location. Breakfast was good as well.

to be honest, nothing. It has totally gone downhill since changing ownership and branding fron the Coral Beach Hotel. A real let down, with construction on the INSIDE of the hotel, run down, no guests and a view of a dirty window 10 metres away.
