The pub, the location Breakfast buffet was lousy, catering in itself was deplorable: ordered a cheese platter at the pub for USD 20 and had to wait for two hours. it wasn't even busy. Fire the chef.

Your most attentive and helpful Sri Lankan who was on the reception desk , and went out of his way to be more than helpful . Some of the music played in the afternoon . No uk newspapers a lack of interesting postcards (plenty of camels)

We loved the location in particular the beach and sea. The room was smart and comfy. The guest relations lady was excellent Most of the staff were grumpy, the service that was provided in the restaurants caused us to eat elsewhere. Food was expensive and not great quality. We ate mostly at the beach restaurant

Excellent beachside locatioin though some way out of town - a £10 taxi ride if you call one to the hotel, but less if you start walking and wave one down. Large and comfortably furnished rooms. The nearby archtectural ruins are extraordinary and well worth a visit if you like that kind of thing. Food in the main dining room was mediochre to poor - think Little Chef at £20 plus for the buffet dinner. Beer £3-4 for a half pint. On my last day found an excellent Chinese restaurant opposite the main entrance to the Sultan Quaboos mosque, much better and cheaper than anything at the hotel.

Generally speaking, good resort for middle price. Clean, sunny, access to beach, services. The main restaurant food is OK. The main restaurant/kitchen is limited in number of staff and although good people is a bit overflown when a customer ask for an ice-cream "à la carte". Delivery time can be surprisingly very loong for a banana with 3 spoons of ice-cream ...

Breakfast is good. Staff friendly even if slow at times, but time is slow there anyway....and that's a good thing. Crabes and Shellfish on sea shore. Tranquility. Food @ dinner/Lunch could be better - more outlets/choices.

Quiet atmosphere Soggy bacon and hot dogs pretending to be sausages. Bacon is meant to be fried in its own grease until slightly crisp not boiled in a gallon of oil until it is a soggy mess. A hotdog is no substitute for a proper breakfast sausage.

Great location right on the beach, nice gardens, large comfortable room with access direct to the gardens. The hotel didn't feel crowded at all, although there were plenty of people staying there. Having a hire car outlet in the hotel was very useful.

Very friendly staff from reception, housekeeping, beach and restaurants. The beach Breakfast Not enough pool towels on our 2nd day Cleanliness of the swimming pool :( We had to negociate with the manager for allowing us (and dozen ot others) to swim in the ocean not because it was dangerous but because of a lack of beach organization (????)

Location and spacious outdoor grounds, greenary and birds singing, morning sunrise, Coconut trees, gives the feeling of a desert island needs rennovation, food was not up to standard, does not feel like a five star hotel.
