Qurum Beach Hotel  

There was no soap in my room and when I asked for some I was pointed up over a hill to a supermarket. That seemed strange.

Seriously: Nothing.

I have stayed in many hotels in the region but this was by far the worst. One of the criteria in my selection of the hotel was the availability of internet - it wasn't there, at least not functional. My room was a small hole which was not properly cleaned with electric outlets that dangerously flashed whenever a device was connected. When staying at a hotel, I expect the staff - particularly the concierge - to be "on the side of the guest" when it comes to arrange/negotiate packages such as transportation etc with local businesses. When checking out and going back to the airport, however, they fixed a price with the taxi driver which was far above the appropriate (no metered taxis in Oman!). Knowing the actual market rate I refused the ride and made my own arragements paying less than half of what the hotel had tried to arrange for me. It seems that I was the only guest, as I caught the staff by surprise when asking for breakfast which was then quickly arranged. In the evening, they have a disco with noisy music in the basement .... I didn't know that hotels like this are still around, but this has been by far the worst place in a long time.

Close to airport , idea for transit overnight which not just stay in the Airport hotel , the staff arrange transfer to airport on time (extra charge) however its ok.

In website booking.com said free breakfast but in real NO...and free wifi internet , in real have but charge 1 omr per hour.

Rooms were clean but there out of the thee washrooms in my suite only one was working

It was close to Qurum Beach. There are only a couple of restaurants along the boardwalk.

Not really walking distance to much shopping or restaurants. But a short cab ride. At least 20 minutes to Muttrah and other sights.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for families looking for a decent place at an affordable price. This hotel is located at a walkable distance from the Qurum beach. That's a big plus for those on a beach holiday.

I would recommend the visitors to bring soap and shampoo and not depend upon the ones supplied by the hotel. The expiry date on the shampoo packet read 'June 2011' and the month of my stay was August 2011.

Közel van a muscati finomítóhoz, ezért reggel elkerülöm a csúcsforgalmat és olcsó a többi szállodához képest.

A klíma hangos ezért nem használom. Ha majd nagyon meleg lesz más szállodát kell választanom emiatt.

La tranquillité près du bord de mer et assez central pour les visites de ville et proche de l'aéroport.
