The value for this hotel is fantastic. Rooms are adequate if you aren't looking for luxury. Location is great and the price is right. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Could not hear the nightclub on the 6th floor as other reviews led me to believe. This hotel is highly recommended for the price. No wifi in the room. They do have ethernet cables connected in the rooms for you to use. There is one computer in the lobby, but it is terribly slow.

We spent 3 weeks in Oman with 2 small children out of season (early may ). This hotel was just for the first night before traveling around, so we did not expect anything especial. What a surprice: The staff was friendly, interested, and competent. The breakfast was good, Most of the equipment was in good shape and well maintained, the pool, too. A good price/ value for a overnight or short stay in Muscat - close to all the shoppings you need for a further excursion.

This is my third stay in Ruwi in the past 6 months.. This time..i was just not comfortable. The Toilet was smelling something bad even before I used.. This was brought to the notice on day1..On day2 they fixed but it recurring after a day...i was too busy with my work and did not have much time to follow-up. Fyi, I stayed in 501 and if they could fix it...it would help guests in future...Also, this time I did not get complimentary breakfast since I booked online...something..i did not like and do not agree.

All the staff were very helpful whatever question or advice we asked it was answered. Clean towels every day and if we required more after going to the swimming pool fresh ones were in our room immediately. The chef did a yummy pizza. Breakfast choice was very good and William one of the staff always had a lovely smile when greeting you. Bar facilities were very good and the staff were spot on. We read in the greeting pack that there was a private beech /sailing club these facilities were very good.Bar The computer facility was inadequate (not enough p.c.'s). Could do with two computers and present service was poor and slow. Enjoyed the group at night time, very friendly but too load for the size of room, you couldn't hold a conversation whilst they were on.

It's a nice hotel, with reasonable facilities (gym, pool, restaurant) and pleasant staff. It's good value for money, and close to buisness and shopping districts. For us, with children, the location wasn't quite right - a bit too far from the main sights and beaches, although they're all reachable with a taxi

I reached the hotel at 4.30 a.m. and based on my telephone conversation with the hotel staff, a room was given to me immediately without delay. The hotel did confirm that they would charge me half days charge extra if I arrived before 6 a.m. Also, the staff was curtious and helpful.

The Hotel is easily locatable as it is situated in the main road. The Hotel has a convenient restaurant. The pool is small but good enough. The hotel room was clean and mini bar sufficiently loaded. Having elderly daughters we were given interconnecting rooms. This eased a lot of apprehension of the stay and made our stay very comfortable. The location is very crowded and we had to face a few persons drunk. The entry to the dance bars is through the same lobby as the entrance to the occupants in the hotel. We had to face the discomfort of onlookers entering into the bar while waiting for the lift. An entrance only from outside to the bar may improve the comfort for families that may visit the hotel.

The reason for chossing Ruwi Hotel was the location within Muscat, the price being economical at the time other hotels increased their prices. I did not like the fact that the booking was done through Booking . com the breakfast was not included in the price. While I had to travel out of the hotel for breakfast there were the other guest that enjoyed the hotel breakfast service.

The hotel was conveniently located and had good facilities. The pool was nice and there was a little bar that had a good local following. Fun live music . Do ask for a high floor...I Was on 6 and could hear the music a little bit, but it wasn't that annoying. I'm sure on 7, you would enjoy total silence. Room service was fast and the food was tasty. Overall, good value for the price. Not the friendliest people in the world, but they did give information when requested. Free transport to the airport was a nice bonus, but they don't advertise so ask if there is a shuttle going or not. I think if they have more than one person with the same departure they'll provide one. Also, you can get a late check out...just be clear on the time. I had a 5pm check out. There were some hairs in the bath tub, although the rest of the room seemed very clean. Remote didn't work for the tv and the guy changed the batteries, but it still didn't work. Old tv, not plasma.
