Panamá City is a wonderful mix of old and new, rich and poor. Wherever we went, especially in the Old Town we felt safe and welcomed. The churches, Spanish architecture, food, and wonderful celebrations should not be missed. The Miraflores Locks, including the IMAX movie is a must see. I would have never chosen Panama City as a place to visit if it had not been for a cruise we chose out of Colon, but, am so glad that we had this opportunity.

We stayed a week, which might have been a day too long.
We stayed a week, which might have been a day too long. Old Town was nice, but if going there try to avoid times when cruise ships arrive. Metropolitan Park and Ancon hill were both great. We visited Miraflores locks - took an Uber instead of a guided tour. It’s well worth doing, but before going be sure to check the times that shipping will pass that day. We had to wait around about 4 hours because we failed to do that! Loved the Cinta Contera great walks and views. Check out Mi Pueblito at the base of Ancon Hill- well worth the $3 fee which includes an English- speaking guide. Favorite restaurant - Lucca in El Congrejo. Upscale surroundings but not upscale prices, with excellent pizza. The rest of the menu looked great too. Murphys bar for happy hour drinks but I wouldn’t eat there again.

The biggest attraction in Panama (the canal) was a big let down. Depending on how you choose to go there, there is a possibility you may not see a ship moving through it. There are other attractions but a bit pricey in my opinion and most involves the Canal so there could be an overlap. If you live in the Caribbean, the usual tourist activities involving the sea may not be appealing. However the city is vibrant, modern and people are very nice. Transportation is easily accessible and very affordable. They have Uber there as well.

Love love love Casco Viejo.
Love love love Casco Viejo. Always stay here when I come to Panama City. Vibe is so great, food is incredible, large police presence to make you feel safe, especially when travelling alone and tourist police that are so helpful with directions, suggestions, etc. Must go to the big Fish Market, so much fun. Mandingo Bar another favourite of mine. The squares in between the housing/buildings are kept up beautifully.

My visit to Panama City was rather disappointing.
My visit to Panama City was rather disappointing. The historic gem of the Old Town, known as Casco Viejo, has the potential for charm, yet its allure remains obscured by neglect. On the other hand, the new district resonates with cacophonous traffic, devoid of the soothing touch of greenery. Despite earnest attempts to awe with monumental modern architecture, their discordance with the Central American landscape is simply wrong.
Furthermore, for those with a discerning palate, the local culinary scene proves very poor and exorbitantly priced for the lackluster offerings it presents.
Location was great, hotel room was clean and comfy, the gym hall was full of good stuff, besides you had on the opposite side of the hotel a true gem of a café-bakery - Toño's - or, if you prefer well established chains you could go just 1 minute to PAUL's, C. 50 Panama City for an equally pleasant experience.
Among so many attractive stays in Panama City we have chosen this particular hotel for a totally particular reason: it has BALCONIES, and you can escape the terrible American habit of letting air in only via AC systems!!
Luis and his staff were very accommodating during our entire stay. The location of this charming hotel was on the water's edge of old town and walking distance to everything in Casco Viejo. We purposefully booked an inside facing room overlooking the courtyard to avoid the noise from the streets which was good advice from previous reviews. The rooftop has a hot tub and great views of Casco Viejo and the Panama City skyline. The breakfasts were good and offering a welcoming drink is a nice touch.
Our room was incredible! We stayed on the 27th floor, which is a "quiet floor" - and indeed it was, since we didn't hear any exterior noise. The room was quite spacious, the window overlooking the city was beautiful and the bathroom had an amazing shower, with a tub! The breakfast was very good also, and the overall decor/feeling of the hotel is quite nice. Perfect for us, who went for Panama City for the first time and wanted to be in a safe, stylish yet not-too-expensive hotel.
Let me start by saying that, the staff here get 10/10 for their customer service. I also recommend a Bayside view room(you will not regret it). Breakfast was exceptional. This hotel is conveniently located within close proximity to malls, plazas & restaurants some of which are walking distance. Uber is also your best friend while staying in Panama City. Will I recommend? Most definitely!
Due to protests in Panamá, I was retained in San Blas for two more days than expected so, unfortunately I was not able to check in at the hotel. The hotel, however, refunded me for the night due to unexpected circumstances, which was very nice, since my reservation was non refundable. Hope to come again to Panamá city and stay in this hotel in a near future!
Overall this was a great stay. Our flight was cancelled out of Panama City to Peru so we stayed here for one night. The bed was super comfy and the grounds were nice. It was a bit more expensive than hotels a bit closer to airport but it had no airport noise and was a quick ride to the airport in the morning.
The staff was incredibly helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. The location was quiet, safe, and walkable to a handful of relevant locations. The breakfast offerings were simple, yet tasty. The property overall was clean, unique, and unlike our typical hotel stays in Panama City.
It was very clean up to date, staff was excellent. One of the best hotels in Panama city for a small budget you will not be disappointed. The location is 5 minute distance from via espana the main strip for shopping, clubs, and bars.
Hotel Casa Panama was perfectly situated in Casco Viejo in Panama City, close to the shopping, Presidential Palace and many options for either a swanky rooftop bar or local street food. The staff was so helpful and friendly.
Perfect hotel for a few days in Panama City.
Great A/C, strong internet, extremely clean, hot water and in a fine area of town, just a few blocks from the waterfront and the 5 de Mayo bus station.
What else do you need?
Quite specious and comfortable rooms, nice rooftop area and swimming pool with the view of Panama City. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the center with a few good restaurants around.
Very good value for money hotel in Panama City. It is really clean, the rooms are big and the wifi is fast. There are many bars & restaurants around. Very nice and safe area. We booked this place 2 times.
This is more than a container hotel. The hotel is very comfy, located at the centre of the Panama City. The hotel representatives are super helpful. I really recommend staying at this hotel in Panama.
Nice Hotel, clean, very good breakfast buffet, good location - $2 - $3 in an uber into town. Walking distance to multiplaza mall. A good base for your trip to Panama city. Staff were helpful.
We've stayed in many similarly priced Panama City hotels but The Executive is definitely the best. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Well equipped gym.
