colonial style suite was a dream
no swmming pool
This was our last stop on a 16 day trip to Peru. Staff were very attentive, location was great and the rooms were comfortable. The interior courtyard was an enjoyable place to sit and relax after long walks around the city.
The hotel occupies a colonial building, with a new construction behind it. To have meals is a quite extraordinary experience. Staff is really competent and very nice. Everything was fantastic
Hotel in a nice old building. Quite close to the main sights. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Room had no outside window.
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.
It is not easily accesible for people with poor vision because it has pebble stones an too many steps up and down. No ramps can be placed because it would ruin the site. Bellman had to help me in and out of the hotel and my relative had to let me know if there was a step all the time. Standard room is too small for two people walking around the room. Only one elevator for guests and staff.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We needed medical help and the receptionist arranged, at no charge, for a doctor and nurse, who arrived within 10 minutes!
The decor of the rooms is ok but not quite up to the standard of the public parts
Location. The old beautiful bilding.
We didn't have a room in the old building, but in the new.common one.We asked for a double bed ,but we received a room with a twin beds. No complimentary water in the room(no potable tap water!!!) Last but NOT least - the atitude of the staff at the receiption desk who TRIED toCHARGE us TWICE then the PRICE CONFIRMED by Booking.com.Luckily we had with us the PRINTED CONFIRMATION - only then they agreed (after many discussions, after reprinting our documents. It was awful,a very frustating situation,Never happend to us,they tried taking much more money.Don"t trust this place!Never again there!!!
The breakfast was wonderful! The staff were very nice and friendly. We had a very nice room and it was very clean!
There was nothing we did not like.
Location Old building Breakfast Service
I asked them to prepare an early breakfast to carry with me since Ihad an excursion at 3am. They said its impossible.
The location is the best in Arequipa.Next to the historical district but quiet. Spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Great that checkout time is 12pm.
We requested a King-size bed but were allocated two double-beds.
Fantastic location. Amazing XVIII century interior. Rooms are gorgeous (especially suites) on the 3rd floor. Wonderful breakfast
Staff not knowledgeable enough, on several occasions failed to provide us good restaurant recommendations (once recommending a dinner restaurant that was not even open after 5pm). Also it took us a while to get a taxi via the hotel, though it could have been easily hailed on the street.
The location is perfect, near the Plaza de Armas but far enough to keep it quiet. I was there in a week that Arequipa was celebrating 474 years and there were parties and bands everywhere. Despite of that, we heard nothing from our hotel. The construction is gorgeous, the restaurant is very good. The staff is also very helpful.
The internet was very slow especially in the room. I could not use the ATM because it was always without cash.
The staff(especially Willie) was so attentive, warm and welcoming! I have never felt so at home while on vacation as I did at Casa Andina Private Collection in Arequipa. Thank you for an amazing experience within an amazing experience.
It is a fabulously beautiful building or buildings with large courtyards that are used for breakfast and lounging around. It is filled with amazing reproduction art in the style of the Colonial Cusco school that is excellent for contrast with the white sillar volcanic stone that the hotel is built from. The former residence and at one time the mint, reminded me of the best Parador in Spain that one could find. The staff are excellent and always ready to help and advise with local knowledge, especially Willy, Armando and Juan Carlos. the bar tender Martin, is an amazing mixologist and introduced us to pisco drinks that beat any pisco sour you find elsewhere. Location is near everthing but quiet.
There was nothing to not like in this hotel. We stayed an extra day to enjoy it some more.
The architecture is pretty
No courtesy water in room in a 5 star hotel; When checked in they never gave me the minibar key, so at midnight no water and no minibar. My bathroom had no hot water. No apologies by staff.
Bright large rooms. Very clean as well! Great looking patio / lobby. Good quality restaurant. Good breakfast with regional specialities. Prime location. All major restaurants / attractions within a small walking distance.
Huge disappointment is the corrupted personel at reception. Didn't came through with orders (i.e taxi came too late for airport, almost missed flight, lunchbox wasn't ready when going early to Colca, help with clogged toilet came after 1 hour after asking twice). The most annoying / unacceptable thing is manipulation of the check. Price was way higher than confirmed through booking. Advice: bring confirmation with you from booking, otherwise you will have a problem. They only have flat electricity contacts. For anyone from Europa this will be a problem if you dont have an adapter. Small safety box. Wifi is on-off. Fast when working properly.
Surely Arequipa's best hotel by far. Set in a splendid old traditional house with two pleasant internal patio courtyards. Willy in reception is super kind, and all the staff is helpful. The restaurant is good, and the hotel is also very close to the famous Astrid&Gaston's local restaurant. Well located and walking distance to major monuments and churches, right next to Santa Catalina Monastery which is a photographer's paradise.
Most of the rooms are in a modern building behind the traditional colonial one. You cross their two beautiful patios where the restaurant and bar are, and you enter a quite anonymous building with classic modern hotel rooms. Very comfortable, with comfy beds and all amenities, but without particular character.
Great rooms if a bit pricey with good breakfast and overall helpful staff.
Arequipa is such a dead city. If not for the canyon its useless. Will consider booking sth less expensive because you don't wanna spend too much time there.
Location just perfect. Delicious breakfast.
Rooms a bit basic for the price
