Great location in cuzco. Friendly staff and very helpful.
friendly staff, wifi
1)in our 2nd room, the showerhead was very defective. Only a tiny water stream was flowing. 2)matress is hard (but that's every hotel in Peru) I don't think it's worth 60 USD
- the views from the room over the roofs of Cusco were beautiful. - They offer free mate de coca at any time, very helpful for the hight sickness related to Cusco - The building seemed to be a reformed traditional house, with stairs ups and down to get to your room. Pinturesque. - Friendly staff - They kindly stored our luggages during our trip out of the city for a whole day and night at no extra cost - Comfortable bed - Beams at sight in the room ceiling, old style. -LOCATION: Close to the historic city center -Plaza de armas-, up a hill, but every place in Cusco is up to some hill
- Dated facilities, a bit old furniture. - Mold in the bathroom ceiling - Basic hygienic supplies: a piece of soap. - Weak WIFI signal, not working inside the room. There was a stronger WIFI signal broadcasted, but they did not provide the right password to connect even after two phone calls to reception. Probably the router was reset any time before and the password returned to be the original one of the router manufacturer, which of course was not the one that was written in the room's directory document. At the end of the day, we could not connect.
We stayed here twice as it sandwiched our trip up to Machu Picchu/Aguas Calientes. Our second room - Room 14 - was super nice. It had a large, recently re-modelled bathroom that was very spacious and clean, with ample counter space. The room itself felt very cozy with comfortable beds. The common area/breakfast room has a fantastic view of Cuzco and its surrounding hills/mountains. There is complimentary coca tea available at all times. The staff are VERY nice and speak excellent English who were amazing at helping us carry luggage up/down the stairs to our room! The hotel is lots of great views even walking up/down the stairs leading to the rooms. Only warning is that you will sometimes feel a bit winded going up the stairs esp if you are not yet used to the altitude of Cuzco. The hotel itself is a bit of an uphill walk from the main square - around 7-8min so not too far away. It's very convenient to get to but up a quiet street so the noise doesn't intrude on the hotel.
Our first room - Room 17 - was not a big hit. It is the family room (fits 4) which, although spacious, has limited natural light. The bathroom is small and reminded me of my college dorm bathroom with no ventilation or fan.
Room was big but a bit noisy The shower need to be cleaned... Only 3 or 4 holes is working... Breakfast is basic
The location: no cars or buses go up there to collect you, ever... The room was smelly...
Very good cook for breakfast. Simple breakfast, but made well. Comfy room and nice staff.
The hill climb back from town felt steep after Machu Picchu hiking, but I'm from Florida and the altitude really gets me.
Perfect service at taxi assuring Rich breakfast served since 6 a.m. , cold buffet, and hot eatings,
The guy on the desk was fantastic. He had great tips from local second hand markets to good massages. Jthe I do was great
It's a long walk up the hill home!
This is an older building with many historic and rustic charms. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Location is further away from the central plaza which generally reduced city noises. Dining area with fireplace was a nice spot to relax with cup of tea in the afternoon/evening.
Rooms vary a lot in their size and frontage. Rooms facing street can be small and noisy, others on the interior of the building have excellent views. Some rooms are quite small.
strong wifi nice and friendly staff free breakfast overlooking the town near the plaza
We didn't know anything about hotel Corihuasi before we booked our stay. It was better than we could imagine. Comfortable, lots of hot water in the shower, good breakfast and friendly staff. Great location just up from the Plaza de Armas. I highly recommend it!!
friendly staff homey feel on the common areas huge rooms nice beds and sheets strong wifi nice view - overlooking the town
Love the physical setting and the view. Simple and slightly rustic with comforts of home. Would stay there again!
The best location to main square and beautiful view of city. We want to thank Ernesto and staff for taking good care of us for the 8 days we stayed in Cusco. Its a must stay place also includes breakfast. Thanks for making our trip to Cusco a memorable one....Brian & Betty Huntingtion Beach, Calif. USA
Location, view is good
Uncomfortable room, too many steps, didn't like the "official taxi" called by the hotel
Decent size rooms
We left our luggage here while we were on Inca trek and my phone was stolen, they didnt accept any responsibility whatsoever. Heater was weak. Hostel was at a higher elevation so need to walk up a steep road from the Plaza de Armas
View was great. Breakfast was fine. Staff helpful. Picked up at airport by hostal rep who then helped us arrange taxi trips to Pisac and other Sacred Valley locations.
Housekeeping is rough around the edges...missing toilet paper one day, glasses the next, hand towels the third. Location is marred by two teen discos close by, making it both noisy and uncomfortable to get around at night. Rooms vary considerably in size.
Great and very helpful stuff. Excellent location. Thanks a lot!
view from dining area and bedroom. fab breakfast. very courteous breakfast staff.
wifi did not work in bedroom. Room took a while to heat up at night using the heater. Bathroom freezing. Hostel located up a steep hill - a slow climb for those still adjusting to the altitude.
Friendly satff and lovely views, all with a nice breakfast.
please select the room w/ panoramice view. Mr. Ernest is the person you need to contact with. very knowledgeable, professional and warm-hearted. THANKS!!!
Good breakfast, clean and cozy rooms, beautiful view from the hotel
WiFi best reception in dining room. From there great view over city.
No reading lamp in the room. Some rooms without a window. Some rooms directly to the street ( hill up, noise from cars and trucks). Sometimes items i.e. toilet paper were missing.
