On the Peruvian coast, right in front of the Paracas National Reserve, the Hotel Paracas includes 5-star accommodations with sea views.
Score from 403 reviews Wonderful
Featuring an outdoor pool and an a la carte restaurant, Aranwa Paracas Resort & Spa is located in Ica, a 5-minute drive from El Chaco port and Cruz del Sur bus station. Free Wi-Fi access is available....
Score from 140 reviews Very good
An outdoor swimming pool and rooms with sea views are offered in Ica. Paracas Natural Reserve is 12 km away and there is free private parking.
Score from 166 reviews Very good
Featuring a terrace with a splendid ocean view , this modern hotel is located in Paracas, the only coastal marine reserve in Peru.
Score from 220 reviews Good
Excellent pool. Also excellent food and service. Friendly and helpful staff. Location of the hotel was not so close to the port but they arrange transport services and trips to the islands. Got a free room upgrade to a direct sea view to compensate with the pickup mess.
Big misunderstanding arranging a car pickup from Ica. Driver didn't showed up at the bus station as scheduled until we called to the hotel couple of times. They didn't think to recommended us to travel until Paracas so we had a long 80 km to travel in a tiny Daewoo car, with some luggage on the front seat. Also had to pay for this ride.
This hotel is perfect for a week end getaway. Service is great and the food is amazing; though a little expensive. Several tours are also offered but you need to contact the hotel prior to your arrival. I strongly recommend the Islas Ballestas.
Food is a little pricey. 8 soles per bottle of water.
Beach, pool, wi-fi signal, lunchtime ceviches....
Free pisco sour welcome drink (horrifically made and so terrible a taste that we left ours), Sunday evening meal (food delivered to table in wrong order, white wine on offer was Cabernet)....
Pool Beach Staff
Doorman/security kept asking my wife as we entered the hotel if she was a guest.. we understand security is a priority but just seemed strange we stayed 5 nights and the hotel was dead yet they couldn't remember us?
Wonderful ocean views, delicious food and the nicest staff. Simply delightful!
Relatively new hotel (About 5 years old).
NO amenities like slippers, toothbrush (You have to complain to get them). Cannot swim in the beach (filled with birds and algae). NO separations in the balcony, no privacy from the next room. Buffet lunch and dinner, not worth the money.
The room was priced in USD but the hotel took payment in local currency using an exchange rate that was far above the market exchange rate at the time, which raised the cost of our rooms considerably.
View and location was beautiful
- Overpriced food that was of poor quality compared to any typical peruvian restuarant. -Wouldn't turn on Jacuzzi because it was windy even after I request. -Thin walls so you can hear everything -Keys work poorly on doors so just entering is hard - No seal on door so all the sand blew into our room - You have to wear a writsband at all times. They say it is for access but only one of the three entrances is guarded.
The rooms are well appointed and comfortable.
I didn't care for piped in pop music outdoors which can be heard from the balcony. It distorts the tranquility and views of the bay with it's teeming bird life.
Staff was great, didnt see any buffet but the food was good. From the restaurant Mr. Tomas and Pedro made our stay really special. Hot pool was awesome in winter. I really recommend it.
Hot tub with bar next door Beautiful Ocean View Suite Very friendly staff!
Children in the hot tub
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Especially miguel in the restaurant Treated us to 6 nights luxury at end of back packing holiday Well worth it
The jelly fish but the hotel tried to clean up
Beautiful pool and grounds. Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms.
Lack of control of rude guests. The hotel auomatically charged us IGV tax even though we are foreigners. We had to go to the dest to get it taken off of the bill.
The pool area was lovely with a lot of sun loungers to choose from. The free pool towels was also a bonus.
The staff around the pool area and the pool bar did not speak English and we did not speak a lot of Spanish so communicating on what we wanted to order was very difficult and slight infuriating after a while-probably on both parties. The staff in the restaurant dining area were not good and the service was very slow and not what you would expect from a hotel like the Hilton. We also asked reception to book us a taxi into Paracas one night to go for dinner. After dinner if was evident that there we're ok taxis available in Paracas past 11pm and we were stuck! We ended up speaking with a restaurant waitress who organised for the policemen in the town square to take us back to the hotel. This is something that the hotel should have made us aware of and advised us not to stay out too late. Also, the room we had was lovely and we enjoyed the amount of space we had. However, our neighbours on both sides seemed the like to move furniture early in the morning and late at night- every night we were there!!!
Great setting and a wonderful hotel with nice rooms and a nice pool. Its the last hotel right before entering the paracas national park so you just need to drive 5 minutes to be submerged in mind-blowing natural beauty!
Unless you have an all-inclusive package, everything you want to do has an additional cost. For instance renting a hobie cat (small catamaran) for 40 minutes is 25 usd each person, so for 3 ppl they get 75 usd! That in my opinion is a huge rip off.
First time in Paracas. Hotel was one of the best on the coastline. Staff was excellent. always accommodating and helpful went so far as to recommend excellent getaways with personal guides. food was much better than expected. buffet was fantastic.
no real nightlife to speak of in paracas. have to travel to pisco.
The service was good
The food was really bad, everything even the drinks
Having lunch at the lounge close to the beach. The breakfast buffet. The pool.
Almost no beach to bathe in.
The place is beautiful
Not water during the night Need to ask for toilet paper often They don't make beds during the mornng It was so hot , not work air condition at night Poor for price
The area was beautiful. The breakfast buffet (included) was amazing. The rooms were so very nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The cookies upon arrival were out of this world. Ask them for one when you check out too. The dinner buffet was delicious and reasonably priced. The pool area was beautiful. Arrange a tour to the reserves and huacachina (spelling?) and do the dune buggy ride for the thrill of the lifetime. You won't be disappointed. They make excellent Pisco Sours here and two are included in the room.
We were a couple travelling with son and two young children. Perfect for the children which is why we chose this hotel.
One of reception staff was quite rude when we asked for assistance in making arrangements to return to Lima. The hotel needs to be more helpful to foreign guests who are not using their own transport. The room rates we were charged bore little resemblance to the rates on booking and the bill contained mistakes. Overall we enjoyed our stay but will not be returning there.
Hotel and facilities were excellent and the location is very picturesque.
This hotel is catering for Peruvians and not international travellers. Standards need to be elevated to compete on the international stage.
Big rooms, good quality facilities
Food not special. Limited water sports.
Staff was very kind all the time.
The price doesn't justify the accommodation value. Rooms were nice but not at a level of a 5 star hotel
