Yanque is a very beautiful authentic village. You should stay there longer than just one night (we had to leave too soon!), because there are many activities in this area. But if you are there only for one night, have lunch or dinner (almuerzo or cena) in one of the little restaurants near the church: usually they offer a menu for not even 10 soles with plenty to eat. Go for a walk, first to the ruins of Uyo-Uyo (in 45 minutes up the hill over the village), then on your way back to the hot springs next to the Colca river in order to relax in several pools (don't forget your swim suit and towel; the entrance is 15 soles per person).

Picturesque little town, with very friendly locals, truly what I expected and was looking for. Immersed in a local Andean village and the total colca experience is a must. Thank you for the experience Colca Peru... really rocks!
There were many staff on hand and all were very helpful. The room was confortable and given it was -7 degrees at night the bedding and room heating was greatly appreciated. We had both dinner and breakfat at the hotel which was very good. Dinner prices were resonable. There was little option for dinner in the town with a 7km drive was to Chivay the only other option. The hotel is well maintained. Breakfast was availably from 6am so were were able to be away early for the 45min drive to the Condor lookouts.
I stopped off at Yanque for a night on my way to Cabanaconde to do a 3-day trek, which worked really well. I had a nice afternoon visiting Uyo Uyo and the Chacapi hot springs. La Casa de mi Abuela was a quiet and comfy place to spend the night. Comfy beds, a warm, clean room and hot showers. The service was friendly and the food was good too.
In the middle of a small town, increible place
We were the only one ( for the season logical) but the restaurant and breakfast were perfect. Choice and quality
The room is very big and nice, with terrace and amazing view on mountains
People were very nice, helpful and with smile
Any doubt to go to this very nice hotel
A great place to stay in a lovely quiet, scenic town. The hotel offered restaurant meals at night which were excellent. We organised our transfer to and from the hotel with the owner.
We didn't speak Spanish and the owner spoke little English but this was not a problem. We loved our 3 day stay.
We woke up to amazing views every morning. The owner was super kind and even came with us on our tour to el Cruz del Condor. The water was hot and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely a great experience and a great place to base ourselves for gorgeous hikes around Yanque.
Very pleasant stay, everything was just as described. We had a secure parking space for 5 motorcycles. Lady at the reception was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was served at the requested time. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town.
Tidy place located in a perfect setting with views of the mountains. Located in Yanque, quiet village with thermal water pools.
Special mention to Danny who was attentive of every detail to make your say comfortable
Very beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious, food is great and you have access to 2 hot springs (38°C when we were there). Also there is an Alpacas’s farm you can visit which is within the hotel.
The hosting family is very friendly and has helpful advice about hikes and trips around Yanque. The view from the room is amazing!
And it was our only hostel in Peru with heating ( electric).
