No English spoken by the staff- made it difficult to check in and out.
Hotel is adorable! So cute and unique.
Staff were not very helpful and did not speak any English. Going by the name of the hotel, we expected a little bit of English. Overall is a very basic property but as only staying for one night was fine. I would recommend a more inviting property to make a more pleasurable experience.
Staff in the reception wasn't helpful. Bathroom was dirty with bugs and shower temperature wasn't stable.
Location was good, staff who served breakfast was so kind and it was good
a little hard to find as arrived on dark
Unique style and very comfortable with friendly staff
None of the facilities which we'd selected this hotel based on were available - bar, restaurant. And we never received our inclusive breakfast which we were promised was available from 5am. Very irritated with the whole experience and shall be writing direct for a refund.
The location in proximity to the bus to Machu picchu was great. And the room and bathroom was fine.
This was the perfect place for us to stay after doing the Inca Trail. It was in a great location and the staff was very nice, letting us check in early. The room was big and clean, and the hot shower was just what we needed. Very happy we stayed the night here.
Actually, on Christmas eve, there were fireworks going off until 1:00 am, ironically just outside the church on the town's square. But that wasn't the hotel's fault. Also, the community itself was fast food/ well-to-go Western young person's fare. Again, not the hotel's fault. So we decided two days in Machu Picchu was enough. But I can't recommend the hotel enough!
The room was remarkable; lots of room, hot tub. And we decided on one less night because Aquas Caliente didn't do that much for us. The proprietor let us off without a charge for that night. Thanks!
1) No hot water!! Temperatures dropped at night around 40 degrees and so we were looking forward to a hot shower. We let the water run for five minutes, as the staff had suggested. The water warmed up for one minute and that was it! We were hoping the water heater/pipes would work by tomorrow morning, but no success! We were forced to take cold showers which really didn't put us in the best of moods. 2) The staff said breakfast would be ready by 5:00 a.m. but the restaurant didn't open until 5:15 a.m. and breakfast wasn't ready until after 5:30 a.m. We had to leave early to reach Machu Picchu and so we couldn't wait. We ended up just taking some bread and a banana.
We liked the hotel layout, the hotel's location and the friendliness of the staff.
The bathroom could have been cleaner, but I am a bit of a clean freak, so I am being picky here. The fact that we had no hot water at first, and later one it still wasn't warm enough to comfortably shower and not be cold. The wifi was pretty slow, but everyone must remember that you don't go to Aguas Calientes for that, and perhaps we should " unplug" more often....
The unique feel/construction. The location. The views of the mountains. The bed - very comfortable. The breakfast at 5 am ( because you are up that early to get on one of the first buses to Machu Picchu). Thy even offered to make us eggs. The easy going staff ( we came back from Machu Picchu at 1pm, and our train back was at 4:30) they told us to stay at the lobby ( it's a cozy place with couches, blankets, a place to charge phones) for as long as we need, and use the facilities. Very nice of them!
Beautiful hotel in great location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were amazing and the bathroom clean and nice. Great terrace outside the room the look up at the mountains.
Great reception.Very informative. Good suggestions. about the area.
Not much to complain about. This was the most expensive place we stayed at in Peru, so I expected it to be a bit more luxurious. It was only up to the standard of a basic hotel in the USA. But I suppose that is expected since Aguas Calientes is a big tourist area and everything is over priced. The pool and jacuzzi were out of order, which didn't bother us. The only real complaint is that the WiFi did not work for us.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights, one before and one after Machu Picchu. We enjoyed our stay and found it comfortable. The place was clean, the TV worked, there is reliable hot water, and a space heater in room if needed. The towel swans on the bed were a nice touch.
internet is impossible in our room
location, good staff, they even deliver your bags at the train station which is very convenient especially if you have heavy bags
Staff weren't welcoming and didn't tell us much. Bathroom light didn't work. Safe didn't work. Room was "moist" and felt like being in a basement. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I wouldn't stay again.
Location was good, but everything in Aguas Calientes was close by everything else. Cool looking town though!
Wouldn't have bothered with 'jacuzzi' but then again we didn't bother with hot bathed in Aguas Calientes which looked worse!
Receptionist was great (Lucian?!), so welcoming and informative. We had a suite - slept for 12 hours after trek on such a comfortable bed!! So peaceful, yet accessible to amenities (yes its at bottom of hill, but if you've just done Inca Trail it's a molehill!)
Awesome location, owners were above and beyond helpful Would definitely recommend them
Everything... Did not meet us at station as arranged, no early morning call as arranged, breakfast a joke... Was not ready at 5.30am and what was there was awful. Terribly noisy from celebrations in Square till 4.30am. Wished we had stayed in Cusco and done the day trip to Machu Pichu where we had excellent accommodation.
Service was excellent, price and location was great!
Could get a little noisy sometimes as the windows of our room were facing the corridor. Not a problem to us as we left for Machu Picchu by 5 am.
Good location near the main square and bus station to Machu Picchu. Helpful staff.
The bathroom was outdated and could have been cleaner.
We liked the atrium and all the plants. The building layout is unique with the maze of floors and rooms. Very charming hotel. Would recommend this hotel as it is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff very cordial and ready to HELP
The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable in a very personal way, really wonderful. The place itself is really lovely and clean.
The bathroom was smelly and easily got wet. The price was too much.
Being met at the station by a very friendly member of staff. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. Breakfast was excellent.
Walls were thin. Water would turn off unexpectedly.
Staff was top notch, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Rate was ok.
Lots of stairs. Loud music in square. However, music ended by 10 pm.
Perfect for overnight day before MachuPicchu. Located just off town square. We were allowed us to check in around 9am and given upgrade to junior suite. Walking distance to Museum and Botanical Gardens. Most important, breakfast was available before 5am. 24 hour staff. Before 5 am someone was there to lock up our suitcases for the day and we were able to be in line for the bus to ruins by 5:10am. Good service. Later that day, we picked up our bags and relaxed in hotel lounge until time to catch train to Cusco. Great location. Complimentary water, teas, and coffee available all day. Receptionist helpful.
