    The staff was friendly

The private bathroom was outside the room in full view of the breakfast room. Floors are creaky and thin allowing all sound from above through. It's located at the top of a long flight of stairs, relatively far from the touristy areas of Cuzco. The common areas are not heated so are freezing in the morning.

    1. Breakfast was nice. It was good to have warm tea and eggs. 2. Wi fi was strong in the room. 3. Bed/sheets were clean.

    1. You have to go up 3 flights of steps from the base of the road. 2. The entire place was freezing (June 16th, 2014). We did have a heater in our room, but a warning sign telling us only to keep it on for an hour caused for a freezing night. We had many blankets on the bed, but didn't move to keep the body heat in place. 3. The elderly man spoke zero English. Not his fault, but there was a lot of miscommunication when we arrived, what our printed reservations stated, and what we ended up getting. 4. I did not take a shower, but my roommate did and stated she couldn't get hot water, even though it states they have hot water.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They worked with our treks and everything went smoothly.

It is quiet a walk up those stairs but the view is worth the burn.

The staff were friendly (especially Luis and Rudolfo who treated you as family). The hostel is quiet at night and the breakfasts are substantial (buns, pancake, eggs, coffee and tea. ) The view of Cusco from the windows is magnificent. Hot showers are a plus.

The stairs were shocking at first but you get used to them and they give you the view.

breakfast! beautiful views, adequate rooms, warm water all days. laundry service for fair prices.

no book exchange, mind you, need to walk some steps but beautiful view of city in return.

Loved the views, very friendly staff. We arrived early in the morning and we were allowed to check in and rest after a long bus ride. Good breakfast!

Long stairs up to hostel but it was worth it! Only one bathroom but it wasn't too busy so we didn't have a problem but wouldn't want to be there in a busy time.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was great with a beautiful view and close to nice places to eat in San Blas.

The room smelt musty and damp. Location was fine for me, but not suitable for lazy people or those with limited mobility.

Nice staff, the breakfast is really good, they have pancakes (that is a big deal in Peru)!! The location is good, near the city centre, but the stairs are really awful.

Mind the stairs!! Really!! People here in the reviews talked about the stairs that you have to climb to get to the hostel and we didn't imagine that would be so high and so many!

good value for money, helpful staff, wide range of excursions (make good price agreements), very good breakfast for hostel, great view over the city but you need a steep climb to reach it

the finishing of the building is very basic and could be better even for a hostel, only reachable on foot

Climbed lots and lots and lots of steps to get to Hostel which overlooked beautiful city

Old man on Reception very rude. Heaters do not work as electricity very sketchy and dangerous. Asked for another blanket and told we had enough on our bed! Asked for a better room as other empty rooms - told we had to stay where we were! Worst breakfast! Told it was ready 7.15am although we weren´t so we had cold pancakes and coffee! Can´t believe this is ever 5 stars!
