Set in a charming house with a garden and a terrace overlooking the city, Tikawasi offers heated rooms with cable TV, and breakfast, only 200 metres from San Blas Main Square.
Score from 442 reviews Excellent
This is a much nicer hotel than I expected and definitely better than the standard backpacker hostels. Price was very reasonable. Room was large and very clean. Excellent bathroom. Location quite good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well with one exception. I'd stay here again
Wifi went down the first night and the night clerk didn't know how to fix it. In the morning it was corrected immediately when I mentioned it. Interior noise from common area carried into the room
The room was good, beautiful view and building. The receptionist was very kind bringing some tea when we checked in.
At 2:30 am the guy woke us up by mistake and this cost us the quality of the next day trip, as it's hard to sleep again due to the altitude effects.
Decent room with a nice balcony and view over the city, the bathroom was big and very clean. The bed was comfy and the wifi very fast! the breakfast was basic but still okay! really good value for the price i paid, also very close to the mainsquare and in a nice neighbourhood. Friendly staff
Wifi connection was really bad even though there were 3 or 4 different networks to choose from.
Friendly and kind staff. Good location.
Location, comfortable double room with bath and balcony away from street. Reception helpful with taxis, help with luggage
Steps, no lift, no safety deposit box
The place was very clean, the staff very friendly!
No kettle in the room, would have been perfect to be able to make myself tea whenever!!
Location is great. Only 5 mins to Plaza de Armas. Rooms are beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. This place is great value for money.
The location was great - within walking distance of Plaza de Armas and around the corner from Jack's Cafe which we found was great for breakfast (American breakfast). We got a triple and we had lots of room and a bathroom separate from the sleeping area but still in the room. Staff was also very helpful and kind. Good value for what we paid.
I got a bad bed which slid towards the wall and led to a lot of sleepless nights and back pains. Breakfast was also not very good -- but I guess we got what we paid for.
Size of the room
Breakfast could be better, it was always missing something Noisy Not as charming as others options
The booking.com reservation did not exist in their system. Unless I had made a phone call, I wouldnt have the reservation,.!
The place was located very close to the plaza de armas, but far enough away to make it less busy. The staff were very helpful, particularly when I was feeling unwell, they provided us with a kettle and a selection of teas and helped us find a pharmacy that had the medication I needed. The showers were hot and the beds were comfortable
Some travellers from the us, Australia, Europe may be surprised by the breakfast and think it is small, but this seems to be the common breakfast selection for Perú
warm room. hot water, excellent location very clean with all facities, hot tea all the time. excellent breakfast and very friendly stall. recomend to everybody the best.
Quick walk into main plaza, along the ancient Inca road. Heading up to San Blas but before the steep slope begins. Just along from Jacks for breakfast!
Despite a modern bathroom, in a junior suite, shower was always luke warm at best.
heating in rooms great wifi excellent location
old heavy blankets on bed street noise internal noise beginning at 6.30 in the morning preparing b'fast cold tiled floors freezing b'fast /common area average b'fast long check outs (almost missed my flight)
Amabilidad del personal!!!
Was looking forward to having a bath when returning from Machu Pichu trek. Hot water worked well, bath plug not so. Just kept the water running to keep the level up.
Good location and we were given a lovely room the second night.
We were first put into a quad room with a sloping floor so the two single beds were very uncomfortable. The unhelpful staff refused to change our room. The next morning egg shells appeared on the bathroom floor after taking a shower so we were moved to another lovely room.
Great location. 5 minute walk from plaza de armas. Kind staff who is happy to help when they can. Decent breakfast. Eggs, yogurt, breads, tea, coffee, etc. location was the best thing.
Wifi only worked in the common room.
Great location east of the plaza and before the hill to San Blas. Extremely clean and well-furnished common areas; large comfortable room with good view from balcony (superior); quiet, relaxed atmosphere with lots of plants and natural light; nice bar/lounge area (did not eat breakfast, usually went to Jack's 1/2 a block away). When I checked some valuables for the safe, the clerk made a detailed receipt of what I stored so we both had a record. When I checked out, the manager drove me to the airport and even dropped off my daughter at her place on the way. If I ever make it back to Cusco, I'll definitely stay at the Arcangel.
Breakfast and staff was great.
For the price, the room was just okay. We had stayed at a hostel before here, which I felt was cleaner and more comfortable. They had a space heater, but overall cold place. Unless you plan on hanging out in San Blas, I would say location is a bit out of the way.
- Location close to the main square and attractions - Nice and helpful peolpe - Transfer IN from the airport
- Small and dark room - Very basic breakfast - Cold bathroom and difficulty to get hot water - Poor internet connection
Location was the strong suit.
Limited communication with English speaking tourists made it difficult. Wifi reception totally inadequate.
We stayed in the hotel twice in two different types of rooms, and it was like staying in two different hotels. We liked the deluxe room with the terrace, it was large, quiet room, nice furniture, huge bathroom. If I wouldn't stay in standard room, I would say, the hotel is very good in everything.
Standard room is very poor, our window was above the main entrance, and since the hotel staff is never on it's place at the reception and the main door is always closed, we were jumping from the door bells all the times. Also they made some interior works close to our room, so it stank awfull
It is located walkable distance from Plaza de Armas.Staff's are very helpful. Rooms are clean with all the basic necessities. Overall it is great value for money hotel.
Wifi was not stable
