Liked the rustic feeling of the hostal. The garden was a joy and a hidden gem.n The hosts were kind.
The bed linens and the room in general had a musty odor. It appeared as if it needed to be aired out.
The room was fairly small and basic but clean and the beds were comfortable. Importantly we got a quiet nights sleep. The courtyard the room faced into was pretty and well looked after and provided a really nice place to sit and relax. Overall good value.
The staff were not always on hand when you needed to speak to someone (we rarely saw anyone man the desk) and the Wifi was pretty patchy.
The location is right in the town center, below the plaza so it is a short walk to everything. The place is very clean, and the garden is a quiet joy compared with the noisy traffic outside. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts are kind and helpful
Our room was on the ground level and had a slight musty smell. You might ask for a room upstairs.
It was quiet and while the beds were hard, they were comfortable. Staff was nice although not always at the desk, so we would make noise or go find them.
Bathroom was a bit smelly probably due to typical Peru toilet paper issues.
Location near ruins and square and old town, as well as friendly owners. Breakfast was at a nice cafe beside the hotel. Easy walk down to train station for Machu Picchu. Ollantaytambo is an excellent place to go to when flying in to Cusco from Lima, as can visit ruins there, and catch several trains to Machu Picchu, while acclimatising before going back to Cusco.
Rooms were a bit small.
the room and the garden had a nice atmosphere
We had to wait 45 min for the breakfast
spacious rooms, quiet, rooftop washing facilities
lack of hot water, hard to find any staff to help
Staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was great; near ruins, the plaza, and a short walk from the train station. Room was clean and comfortable, with better hot water than our previous hotel in Lima! Would love to stay here again.
