The location was excellent as is in the entrance of Plaza de Armas. Our room's balcony faced Plaza de Arma and thus got to watch a parade from the comfort of our room. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Silvia was a great at assuring our rooms were reserved and available. The breakfast was simple but had an array of fruits, bread, cheese and juices.
While there the wi-fi was down. The hotel was very cold but I think that's with all the hotels in cusco. Once under the covers, it was warm as could be. The water was not super hot but warm enough for a good shower. If you are a light sleeper, get a room in the back. Our room was in the front so we heard a lot of street noise but we didn't care as we are used to noise living in NYC.
the staff is amazing and helped us a lot with good hints about the area. The Hostel is part of an old church, its amazing to be so close and be able to appreciate it from your bedroom.
like many of the hostels in Peru, the standard breakfast is not what you would expect in your home country, but it seems to be the default for everyone, so if you want more variety you might as well buy some fruits in the market.
Very friendly staff, ready to help you with whatever u need.
Staff great. Location great. Very nice.
We were there for two different periods. The first room where we stayed was niece. But the second one was not so confortable.
friendly helpful staff location
Simple but clean rooms, sufficient hot water in the shower. Attractive breakfast buffet. Most of all: you're right in the middle of Cusco!! Possibility to leave you baggage at the hotel while travelling to other places.
It's in the middle of the city and therefore, depending on the room that you'll get, noisy.
It's right off Plaza del Arms and that is the center of Cuzco.
Staff was rude. We came on a rainy day so I had to stay that night-couldn't shift easily. The hostal is up a steep flight of stairs and the receptionist was very unwelcoming. She showed me 2 rooms without windows. Eventually she gave me a room with 4 beds and a window. There curtain rod fell when I pulled it. Internet was sketchy too and unlike almost every place in Cuzco, no hot water or coca tea offered. The prices were competitive with where we ended up the next night that was SO much nicer and more peaceful. We left and stayed one block away at a GREAT place.
Location, staff, breackfast, easy access, city center location
Staff spoke great English and were very helpful with everything. Breakfast was a simple but satisfying buffet. The hostel is right next to Plaza de Armas, and the tourist information center is just next door.
The rooms were kind of noisy at night. The rooms facing the plaza had noise of the traffic and drunk people on the streets all through the night, and rooms inside seemed to be next to a pub.
Very well situated and overall OK, but could really need a brush up. I am sure they do proper cleaning, so it is not dirty, but the rooms and bathrooms are just old, partly broken etc. I think one could offer slightly better service/quality for that price.
