Really nice place with good looking rooms and a courtyard to relax in. Wifi and TV work well, everything works well in the bathroom, staff are happy to help out and breakfast is made how you want it.
You have to go up some steps to get to the hostel which can be challenging with luggage at high altitude but really that's a minor quibble
Staff very welcoming and helpful, great location, quiet
lack of dense curtains (room was quite lit at night) and shower ran out of hot water after a few minutes one evening
Good location. Nice staff.
Breakfast is at a big table with other guests. Can be nice or a bit annoying regarding to the present guests.
wonderful staff. Jose was so helpful. Clean and what a great value. Breakfast lady was a hoot.
Great location near the heart of Cusco. The grounds are beautiful the rooms cozy and quaint. All of the staff was accommodating, professional and overall very nice. The pricing is extremely fair. I highly recommend this Hosteria for your stay!
Nice courtyard Good location Friendly staff
I loved green patio, good breakfast, excellent and helpful staff, nice decorated rooms. There was so problem to check in at 7 in the morning. It's just 5-7 min walking time to Plaza de Armas, walk with pleasent and safe streets.
Wifi is working only in the main hall, not in the rooms
Beautiful garden area, great breakfast, clean and comfortable. Loved the complimentary airport pickup!
Wifi does not work in rooms :( must go to common area to use it. Must hike stairs to get to hostal.
Friendly, helpful staff Lovely courtyard garden
My garden level room was cold, so I rented a heater for an additional $3/night; also I had to keep the curtains drawn for privacy, as they looked directly into the garden path. I could hear the floorboards above my room quite clearly.
Gardens, staff helpful and friendly. Bedrooms spacious, dinning room with carved antiques. Great nice and central.
Had to climb a lot of stairs to get there, although if you are into fitness it is good,
Nice clean large rooms helpful staff good breakfast
No cards accepted fof payement
We used this as our base to do the Sacred Valley, Machu Piccu, and Lake Titicaca so we had three stays in different rooms and used their luggage storage, which was great. Our first room was just off the pretty little garden which was also the view from the breakfast room. It felt like a little bit of Italy- just wonderful. Our next room was not as nice and off a very ordinary courtyard. The third room was huge and suitable for a family. It was the whole attic and had great views of Cusco city. All rooms were clean with comfortable beds, breakfast was delightful, wifi in main areas only, coca tea provided thankfully. Staff was very helpful in all regards.
Altitude sickness hit us and the walk up the stairs with luggage to this hostel did not help.
Nice clean quiet spacious rooms, no road noise. Good breakfast, excellent staff.
This is our second stay at Anita. The rooms are good with all necessary amenities, the staff is friendly and efficient. There is a lovely patio/garden full of trees. Breakfast is simple and delicious. It is served fast and as early as you wish.
Pros- --easy walk to Plaza de arms --1 block to Incan wall with famous 12 angle stone --surrounded by resturants --very friendly and helpful staff --included breakfast was ok- included single egg (fried or scrambled), cup of yogurt with fresh fruit, roll with jam, and fresh juice/coffee --garden-like grounds --reliably arranged for ground transport --65+ TV channels, including premium, but all in Spanish
Cons- --despite Booking.com listing, they REFUSED to take credit cards --wifi was only available in the lobby --included airport taxi was only upon arrival; --lock to the room didn't work --hot water (24hr on demand from propane) wasn't available on morning of departure because the propane ran out ----65 step climb from street level to hotel
i would personally recommend this hotel to anyone. the rooms are nice. you will somehow feel that you are really in peru especially the garden. the staff are amazingly friendly and very helpful. they booked the machu picchu tour for us. easy and well organized. jose is a funny guy. thanks for your help and to all the staff, keep up the good work!
Large clean comfy rooms good breakfast helpful staff good location
Up a hill so might pose a problem for some people rooms were a little chilly
the hosteria is very well located, clean, well maintained, comfortable and the staff is superb. Jose specially helped us with everything from a good place to eat and Quechua language tips to help dealing with some dodgy travel agency that we had contacted before arriving. We felt at home in lovely cusco!!! thanks!
Good location and nice staff. Free Pickup service. When we arrive at the hotel we have to climb around 80Steps but their is someone to carry the bags.
you can get an electric heater for 3USD but it stays cold.
Everything is really great: location, room comfort, breakfast, view from our room.
I guess we were unlucky with the hot shower in our room. I didn't see any other guest complaining but we stayed there for 4 nights and every night the water was so not good: super hot or freezing. In our last day it was finally okay...
Fireplace in lobby. Friendly staff, good location, homely vibe. Heating in the room (uncommon in Cuzco at this price range), good hot water.
Close to Plaza de armas Staff was excellent Beds were amazing Included breakfast (eggs juice fruit granola yogurt bread it was delicious) Clean and comfy Cool looking place
The stairs to get to the hosteria Internet did not reach the rooms only common areas
Our room was a suite with 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The place was Clean and the staff was very helpful when asked. Breakfast was simple yet good.
Wifi was only in the lobby, the rooms were cold at night. We only found out as we were leaving that we could of had a heater in our room for just a couple a bucks a night.
Nice comfortable beds. Room is cold so rent a heater for $3/night. Well worth it! Close to good restaurants & main square. Friendly staff and constant flow of Cocoa tea helps adjusting to altitude. Ask for rooms on 2nd floor - they are much quieter. I booked my Macchu Picchu trip through them and it was very well planned. Wifi in the lobby (& only in the lobby) is strong and fast.
Wifi is only available in the lobby. The hostel is located at the top of a long flight of stairs. This is a huge problem when you land in Cusco and are still acclimatizing to the high altitude. I consider myself to be very fit, but was struggling to climb up the stairs for the first 2 days. This is something to be considered when booking this place. Water pressure is another problem and keeps varying when you shower. I was stuck with soap in my eyes when the water shut off for a few seconds.
The hôtel picked us up at the airport for free Charming place, calm. Rooms are cleans and the staff is helpful
