Staff is very helpfull, excellent!! We forgot a pasport at the location and Marco from the reception took care of recollection. He also arranged taxi's, bustickets and free storage of our luggage. The breakfast buffet is also very excellent!
Laundry service very expensive, location is quite noisy, mainly due to all the festivals.
This felt like a hotel at home - a rarity in Peru. It was really modern, spacious and clean. The beds have feather comforters and are super comfortable. The location can't be beat - you might get some street noise, but nothing out of the ordinary of staying in a metropolitan area. It's one block away from Lima Street - the main drag with restaurants and bars. The staff was also super accommodating - they let me check out at noon instead of 10am, and they brought me a tray of breakfast food when I wasn't down by the 9am cutoff.
Went to breakfast at 8:40 (was supposed to end at 9am) but everything was cleared and gone. Hotel made up for it the next day by calling me right before 9 since I hadn't been done for breakfast yet, and bringing up a tray of breakfast items to my room! Awesome. Other negatives - no hot water to shower around 11am. Called and was told it'd be fixed, but wasn't. I also struggled with the 5th floor and altitude. Even though I was acclimated, I found it hard to breath/sleep on that floor, but felt better once I was moved down to floor 2 and had the windows open to circulate fresh air.
Huge room on 5th floor (503 I think) with armchairs facing a big wall of windows with a view over the rooftops to Lake Tititcaca - fab. Bed was big and very comfortable, bathroom also large with a good shower. Lift a must at that altitude on a high floor. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful - couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Location only a minute from the pedestrian street with loads of shops and restaurants. Oh and the fab little knitted hats they used as a keyring - one of which we got as a gift!
Nothing to dislike
The hotel has great facilities including the elevator, nice and big bed, stable wi-fi, stable hot water in the shower and rich breakfast. The staffs at the hotel are willing to help us with all kinds of questions including booking the bus ticket, recommending authentic restaurants and giving travel tips. This is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in during out trip in Peru!
The hotel offered one free transportation from the train station, but we did not see anyone at the station when we arrived. It also offered bus ticket booking service, but the staffs did not know about it when we arrived even though a lady confirmed with us through email that the tickets are handled. There is a communication gap between the administrative office and the staffs at the hotel. Even though the staffs at the hotel were great and helped us solve the issues on-site, the issue should still be improved to save the time and the communication.
Being woken early by other guests
Good comfort, location and price
Got extremely sick from brushing my teeth with the bathroom water
The staff could not do enough for us - they were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good variety of choices; the room was very big and comfortable. They even provided us with hot water bottles.
Friendly staff ; very helpfull
There where repairs on the road at the time
Great location for walking to restaurants. Quick taxi ride to harbor. Upon request the hotel arranged a driver for our own day tour. Hearty and delicious breakfasts.
Food Friendly and helpful staff Flexible
Great and friendly service! Inhouse travel agency is fantastic, booked several trips last minute which was no problem! Breakfast was very nice!! Comfortable bed and nice room decoration. On first night we arrived very late so they put a warm water bag under the blanket.
Breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful, so we stayed there one night longer than originally scheduled
Rooms are old-styled furnished
great location near plaza de armas. very modern facility with elevator.
Handy location a block away from the main pedestrian drag and restos. Hotel very helpful with pick-up from bus and arranging trips to the lake. Puno itself is a dump, which is not a reason not to visit it: the lake and floating islands are absolutely worth a visit, the miradors in Puno offer amazing vistas and there are a couple of decent restos in town.
Nothing. A clean, competent operation in the middle of town.
The young, helpful and energetic staff, the lovely big room and bathroom, the breakfasts (including omelets made to order)
The hotel was very clean and a very good location to the center of town although bit noisy one of the 2 nights we stayed there. Good breakfast and the staff was very helpful. Their "travel agency" set up some tours for us that proved to be pretty good. The guide, Alexander, was excellent!
When we went to check out the clerk informed us their credit card machine was not working and we would have to pay cash. They also refused some of our bills saying they were counterfeit. After an hour or so, their machine "was working" so we were able to pay the bill will a credit card. It seemed a little shady and as it turned out our bills were checked at a bank here in the states and they were fine. Crazy time at check out but everything else was good! We would still recommend the hotel!
Very clean and travel agency on site to book trips etc. Decorated tastefully.
Thought it was overpriced we had a suite and it was only a bigger room no fridge, etc nothing special.
Very close to the plaza, pedestrian area and shops. Staff very helpful. I saw a comment from another guest that said breakfast choice was limited, but the restaurant either had a buffet set up if the hotel was busy or an extensive list of things you could order, so we had no complaints there at all.
Sometimes there was no hot water, but if you told the front desk, it magically appeared. Check before you get undressed!
Very helpful staff
the staff is very friendly, speaks good english and is always there to help. breakfast is above average for peru. it is located next to the turistic area of puno
the room we had was small with relative old forniture and a bit too expensive
The staff were friendly and a free pick up from the bus station when we arrived was included which was nice coming in late in the evening.
The bathroom window faces the inside of the hotel so it can be a little noisey at times.
Hotel staff initiated contact with me to arrange for free pick up from bus station (at 5am!). Extremely responsive on email. Overall very good value for money. Would definitely recommend!
Staff took care of all concerns. Breakfast was great. Close to good shopping and intertainment. Room has wonderful view to lake.
Good location. Friendly staff. All worked out fine.
You could hear everything on the hall. But it was not loud and did not really bother us. We just had to make sure we kept quiet to not bother others.
The breakfast selection was better than other hotels we've been too. Fresh juices, omelette. The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The location was great close to the Main Street.
They forgot to pick us up at the bus station, but they compensate with free breakfast which was generous of them.
