In downtown Cuzco, Hotel Royal Qosqo features a spa, regional tours and a charming cobblestone courtyard with a café. It is only 15-minutes drive to Alejandro Velasco Astete international Airport.
Score from 105 reviews Good
We found that the hostal has no sign indicating where it is on the street or even outside the accomodation so if your getting the taxi make sure you have the address and don't rely on the driver knowing where it is by name. Also i found the free breakfast was a little lacking. There was fruit and tea/coffee and hollow rolls with jam but i've had better elseware, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us.
This hostal is a 10 min walk outside of Cuzco down the narrow road that is the Riccoletta, away from the hustel of the town centre. All the staff would go out of their way to help with any request we had. The beds were comfortable enough and we had warm water most of the time unless the gas ran out in which the owners would renew within half a day, this maybe happens once a week, so it wasn't a problem at all. The wi-fi was mostly strong and the rooms were spacious. The shower power was strong in both rooms we had because we stayed here on two seperate occassions. If your going on an inka trail trek they kindly store your luggage for free too, and will help you book any tours you want to go on. Would definitely stay here again.
It was cold but that wasn't the hotel's fault!
The staff were really kind especially when I was suffering with altitude sickness. they also brought a heater and camomille tea.
it was a bit far from the centre, we could walk, but most of the time took taxi back to the hotel. Breakfast was a bit too simple, but still nice!
the room was great, staff very helpful and friendly. They even offer they can take my postcards to the postoffice! thank you, it was a very enjoyable stay!
Included breakfast and wifi were good.
I did not like the alpaca-blanket so much, because they are heavy. But my boyfriend loves them. Beside that, everything was really really good.
The Staff was super friendly and helpful with everything. The Wifi-connection was really good, also in the rooms. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. It was a bit cold sometimes in the night, but we got a heating. The water in the shower was always warm. We could use the kitchen with a fridge and we could make us always coca tea. I felt really comfortable in Killaqente and we will come back definitely.
The usual rolls, juice & coffee for breakfast.
The staff, the spaciousness of the room, the tea served upon our arrival, the hot water, BCC in English, the laundry service all made our stay a great experience.
Several flights of stairs up to room. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms
Wi fi, cable tv , comfy beds.
The location was far away from the main square
One of the hostel experiences I enjoyed a lot. Very nice location, perfect staff. Good reward for the little price. Muchas gracias, K.
The hotel was situated a bit off the town center, a bit too far to walk.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds.
The showers were not always hot
The room was very big Good service
The location was very hard to locate. A taxi driver spent 15 minutes driving around and finally we spent another 45 minutes looking for it.
Great hot shower with lots of pressure. A rare find in Peru.
Shower very good
We had to take a bus from Cusco to Puno at 9pm on the day of our check out. Despite the check out time was 10pm the manager let us stay longer with no extra charges.
very good stuff
The staff were extremely kind and friendly.
The staff was polite and very helpful. They were able to give us a few tips on how to get around the city and what tourist traps/tricks to avoid. The rooms were pretty great for the price we paid and although it doesn't appear very close to the town square, the walk is only ten minutes and you get to see more of the actual city. The internet was fast and reliable, better than what I've got in Chicago, IL. The breakfasts were the same, but always tasty.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
The showers could be a little hotter.
The staff are very Nice. It's a good honest price for what you get.
Staff did not let us out at night when we were dehydraded and needed to buy some water. He did let us use the boiled weater from the kitchen - but if your dehydraded you will know its not the same.
Clean rooms and a hot shower! We have stayed at two other places in Cusco that said they had hot showers - but really had showers with cold water.
good location small walk to plaza de armas and excellent staff were very helpful with anything you needed
Staffs are very nice, helped us a lot during our stay.
we were treated exceptionaly well by the staff. the best shower we had in whole of soth america
Nothing to complain about.
They made fresh orange for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is good.
The water can be sometimes cold in the shower, the room was cold so suggest you sleep with pyjamas or something extra.
The staff was very helpful and let us leave our luggage when we was out of town going to machu picchu. Big creds to Mario especially. Serving breakfast everyday, juice with milk, bread and jam.
