Small Hotel, very functional, quiet at night, super close from main square, and very good restaurant, also. Just around the corner from the bus station to Machupicchu, the staff es very helpful and very nice. They make you feel like they know you and waiting for you to help you and make you feel right at home. Honestly for the price this is very good option, they serve you a very nice breakfast to you start your day with energies and joy.

The location is what differentiates this hotel from others. It is up the hill a good bit from the train and bus stations, and this makes all the difference. We stayed in a hotel right next to the train station our last night, and all we heard were loud, repetitive announcements and the trains themselves well into the night. With this hotel, it is closer to where locals live towards the path for Cascadas Alcamayo, and this provides a much quieter scenario. The location to price value was the best in the area we could find.

If you can, see Machu Picchu early in the morn or in the late afternoon for best pics and fewest crowds. Take the bus up to Machu Picchu and then walk the stairs down to Aguas Calientes if you have 2 hours for the trek and strong knees/ankles to manage the stairs. Don't let travel agencies rush you from Cusco/Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco in one day. Definitely spend the night in Aguas Calientes before or after your visit to Machu Picchu. The town has a lot of character and tremendous beauty. Lots of choices for dining, shopping and spas/massages. We wish we had stayed 2 days!

Started early and arrived machu picchu at 6:30am. Our guide Peter knew where to go to position ourselves to having nice photos. We were super fortunate that the fog came and went and didnt linger long. Suggest not to go late cuz by the time we finished which was after 3.5hrs there were so much people already. Take the Circuit 2 route if you have time. Its definitely worth it.

    Machu Picchu itself was breathtaking.

Machu Picchu itself was breathtaking. It was very cloudy to start but eventually lifted for spectacular views. The process to get a ticket if you arrive without one is the worst. The information from the Ministry of Culture releases one thousand extra tickets a day and is very unclear about the process. I had to spend two nights instead of one and received no credit or refund on my train tickets which had to be changed.

Once in a lifetime experience - although I will probably come back and bring my family and try the other Circuits. Hiring a private guide was a very good decision. It was very emotional for me since I had wanted to visit since I was in the third grade and I am 66 years old. I was impressed with how well taken care of the site is.

Our stay in Aguas Calientes was made even better by the exceptional service. Sonia from the help desk picked us up from the train station and guided us to the hotel. The room was spacious with two beds, perfect for our one-night stay. The restaurant at the base was nice, and overall, the service was great.

The hotel offers an outstanding value. The room was better than we expected for the price paid. Beds were very comfy and you can't challenge the view from the room. I have made a YouTube video of my travel to Machu Picchu and I featured the hotel room. https://youtu.be/iNVRGnTroyI

Nice hotel with all the amenities and services. Aguas Calientes is of course over-touristic but this place has a great location but most importantly the room was big, clean. Definitely suggested and I would return back :-)
