Comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi can be enjoyed right in Cusco’s main square, 165 ft from Sol Avenue. Velasco Astete Airport is only 1 mile from Hotel Plaza de Armas.
Score from 251 reviews Wonderful
El Virrey is in the heart of Cusco, overlooking the bustling Plaza De Armas. It is 2 miles from Velasco Airport, providing airport shuttle service and welcome drink upon arrival.
Score from 307 reviews Very good
Eco Inn is a short walk from Cusco's main square and just in front of Cusco's largest craft market. It offers modern rooms with buffet breakfast included.
Score from 174 reviews Excellent
Just 50 metres from the Temple of the Sun, Taypikala offers luxurious heated rooms with views of a central courtyard and picturesque Cusco. There is free Wi-Fi and massage sessions can be booked.
Score from 487 reviews Very good
It s really in the center, next to the main square of Cusco. It s small and without style. The building is nice but the hotel takes just a small part of it. The rooms are old fashioned equipped..really basic. Breakfaat is basic too. Too expensive for the service.
Amazing location in the plaza. Nice staff. Breakfast is fine and the rooms are very clean and tidy.
Price is a little high. sometimes there is noise from the plaza
Staff was very nice and helpful. Excellent location. Nice breakfast but very simple.
The noise (you can hear the reception phone ringing from the rooms, the other guests speaking in their room, the guests carrying the luggage at 6am, etc) and the fact that the room was not very clean.
- Shower temperature instable. NOT recommended for winter - Location next to the city center make the rooms very noisy. NOT recommended on June since there are parties everyday and can be difficult to sleep - Employees at the front desk are polite but not very prepared to answer simple questions immediately
- Location is great, just 10 steps from the Central Plaza - Breakfast is simple, but good. Scrambled eggs are made fresh for guests - Starbucks literally inside the place - Spacious rooms
Great location, right in the Plaza de Armas square main square in the city. Helpful staff.
Could use a few new pillows
The location is good just next to the cathedral and the square
Wi -fi is weak in the room
location right on main square in Cusco
Security was a concern; cheap locks on door. Checked out early, found other hotel. Cheapest is not best in this case.
Great location as only steps away from the main square, however Starbucks is across from the hotel so can be a bit noisy
Breakfast is minimal, but guess it might be the same at most hotel/hostels around
Location is perfect, close to Plaza de Armas and a lot of little shops and restaurants.
They don't have hot water and the rooms looks a little bit careless and you don't have wifi on the rooms. The hotel is very expensive and I think that for the price you can find better places with more facilities and better presentation.
quiet, clean near the plaza
i little bit expensive
You can't beat the location. We arrived before check in time and they put us in a room without charging extra. The staff and owner worked very hard to make sure they met our needs. The rooms and bathrooms were exactly as pictured on the website. The breakfast was simple but filling. They did a great job cooking our eggs to order. The outlets supported US electronics without needing a converter. Plenty of hot water. They stored our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu without addl charge. We were very pleased to support a local business instead of a US or European conglomerate.
Because it is a 200 year old building with thick concrete walls, wifi doesn't work in every room. You can go to the common areas and use it there. Other reviews I read complained of noise from the street, but we didn't hear any from our room.
Location, room, staff
Hot water keeps turning cold while having a shower. Should have a hairdryer at that price.
Clean, convenient to attractions, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. The breakfast was excellent.
Great location, right in the Plaza de Armas square beside Starbucks. Spacious clean room. Good wifi. Breakfast is pretty good, eggs to order. Very cute and clean place with wonderful staff. We asked for laundry service and gave it to the reception at 8AM and it was done off site and returned by 4PM. THey will hold your luggage if you want to go to Machu Picchu for a couple of days.
Janette on reception was super. Location - perfect.
Location was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Very close to all the main key attractions/locations in Cusco.
Everything great, clean, nice. I particularly prefer wooden floor over carpets. Only downside of having a room that gives on the street (just a brink from Plaza de Armas): on Saturday nights, there is a lot of noise. Ask for a room in the inner courtyard if you mind noise.
