Score from 141 reviews Very good
This hostel is centrally situated and about 4 blocks from the main square, Plaza De Amas. The room is clean with good hot shower. It has good internet connectivity at the reception area, free storage facility and a kitchen and breakfast area. The staff are very helpful especially Maria Tapia. The hostel is a good meeting place for travelers to share their experiences.
As the floors (other the ground floor)are made of wood, there is a " cracking" sound whenever a person walks.
Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast good with option of paying for eggs as well, good location, hostel organised good (cheap) taxi for me.
Dorm rooms need more ventilation, need to leave clothes in open bathroom while in the shower as so small
Both the attention and the hostel were very nice in Ollantaytambo. The attention was also was also nice in Cusco.
We didn´t have internet in Ollantaytambo. The shower was out of order, however, they allowed us to use another bathroom. The room in Cusco was not properly ventilated.
Hot shower, cleanliness
Cold hostel, unfriendly other travelers
Breakfast and Lobby area were great. Staff are the best.
Internet connection in the lobby was the only place during our two week stay that was not at all good. This was a common complaint.
friendly staff; very good coffee and tea ; internet was available at the lobby, beer and water for sale was at fair prices; location is just blocks from market.. beds comfortable and with warm sheets, room was clean..
For the price you pay, there is no complain..
The staff made sure there was always coffee and tea. They were friendly and we liked the main area, met several nice people . Breakfast with the stay included the standard bread and jam, but could purchase a few other options with minimal cost.
Did not replace towels. Very damp and musty.could only access Internet downstairs in the main area...sometimes.
Location People are very kind and helpful
Shower didn't work well (cold water)
They had coca tea leaves and drink readily available. They also had many things that we took advantage of. We took a van to Ollantaytambo. We also bought a lock from the hostel. The location was a bit far from the center and a little sketchy at night, but thankfully, all the taxis know where the hostel is.
It was a bit noisy because of the thin walls. Also, the restaurants that the staff recommended were not very good.
Good bedding, hot water at all times. Hairdryers to borrow - useful when its so cold.
No heating. Had to pay extra for eggs etc at breakfast would have been nice to be included.
Good value for money and position for this hostel, located 4 or 5 blocks away from Cuzco central square. The place is quiet and nicely decorated.
This is a great hostel, and has basically all the services that a backpacker needs, from wi fi to big luggage lockers. I higly recommend this place!
Excellent staff and good location
Maybe it was just a bad day, but the wifi was not working, no running water in the room (they said it was a general problem in Cusco) and, when it started to rain heavily, it started raining even inside the building (not in the rooms luckily).
Location, staff was great, breakfast was great, wifi was fast.
Shower was not very hot, bathroom smelled moldy, people were sleeping in a common area above our room and making sleep disturbing noise at night with no policing from Hostel.
Just pillow&blaket*mattress good. they clean room very well though It's wear out. so just for sleeping hostel 15dollar value wifi deosnt work all the time
Staff were lovely and so helpful. We booked a double room with a shared bathroom but when we arrived the double room with en-suite was free so we were very kindly upgraded. Great location as well, just a short walk into the centre of Cusco. The taxi driver the hostel use (not sure if it's always the same one) was absolutely fab, he was always there on time to take us to and from the airport and to and from the train station in Poroy - made things much easier! Had a lovely time!
My boyfriend and I recently went on a trip to Peru. We absolutely loved this Hostel. It was centrally located, which made it convenient to walk around the city. We loved the staff, they were so helpful.
The rooms were a bit cold, but heaters are available for rent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel has a good vibe which all the other place lack. It has a great lay out a roof top view if you look for it ,good storage and internet and everyone I met there was friendly too! It was great value for money and the rooms were clean and cute (sorry i know thats a girls word but it fits )
That it was booked out and I couldnt stay longer :@(
Staff were relatively helpful in assisting us to find alternative accommodation due to a problem we had with the pokey room we were put in.
This place is waaay over rated. Facilities are a little run down, and no towel is supplied for the private rooms. Everything seems to be about money here. Also no wifi in the room.
Awesome location, staff, hot showers, and feather bed quilts.
Charge for everything, only place on my peru trip that i had to pay for a towel
Freindly staff . . common space; clean, great location
Cold . . . needed heat in room
Very nice hostel...more like a simple hotel. Quiet, very clean.
Not a hostel to meet people, it is very quiet and calm. So as a solo traveller, I felt that was a negative point. But everything else was great. A little overpriced, if you are on a budget, you can find other hostels in cusco for cheaper. Very simple breakfast, but that's just the norm in Peru.
Comfy bed. Good size room.
Getting locked out. Supposedly 24 hr reception. Stood on street for 30 mins buzzing and knocking. WiFi was poor even in common area. Overcharged for breakfast.
Great room for the price, slept really well, really close to the town centre and lots of facilities. I love the two computers which can be used for free and unlimited coffee and tea.
Only problem was that noise from the common area downstairs, travelled right up and into the rooms, It could delay people sleeping. However most noise stopped by about 11.
