A great base for visiting the Colca Valley. Yanque is a delightful village. There are lots of good walks in the area. The food is excellent value, a 3 course dinner for 30 soles, with everything very tasty. Breakfast is good and coffee comes out of an Italian stove top device, so much better than instant. Rooms are very comfortable.

    Nothing.

+ Although it is located in the city limits of a rather uneventful town (hotels outside of town are more picturesque), the food & hospitality were very good + Hotel will arrange tours and transportation + The accomodations were more than adequate for our group of three + Short walk downhill to two hot springs places to soak your aching muscles (take taxi back)

    - The town was rather boring - There was some construction to improve the hotel... annoying to us but once finished, better for you

Everything! Service is fantastic Food is great, always have dinner here! Don't wonder, just book it!

Wifi didn't work, but I guess you get that at the bottom of a canyon

Excellent stay. The owner is very helpful and makes you feel at home. The food is delicious and fresh, cooked by the wife of the owner. You can do some nice hikes from this location to see the colca valley. Hot springs are also on 20 min walking distance and require only 15 S entrance. Rooms are beautiful and nice bathrooms with great showers.

Everything. From the room's comodity, the hot shower with high pressure (not a given in Arequipa or Colca), the quietness and especially the owner's pleasantness (he can also recommend you activities to do around the hotel such as going to thermal baths or to a very nice 2-3 hour walk). Also, the food he serves at night is delicious, you should ask for the "trucha a las finas hierbas" or the "alpaca". It has an amazing view of the valley 5 minutes away.

Poor wi-fi signal but it really doesn't matter, especially in Colca where you want to relax and get away from the "city".

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in the Colca Canyon. In the winter, it's always cold at night (right around freezing) but there was a space heater in the room, as well as really warm blankets. The dinner was AMAZING- Alpaca steak, sopa de quinoa, vegetables, fruit and all the food was fresh and delicious. Breakfast was a typical Peruvian breakfast of eggs, bread and fruit. Lots of tea. The owner is an amazing guy who helped us find a tour to see the condors, transportation to Arequipa, and plenty of Mate de Coca for altitude sickness. Such a lovely man and always had a smile on his face and a helpful answer to every question. Also, the stars are beautiful there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Canon de Colca.

Polite and friendly staff, allowed us to keep bags their while we ventured further into the canyon. Had I the chance to plan again I probably would have based us entirely in Yanque instead though!

The owners were wonderful friendly helpful and welcoming. We loved it here. Yanque is real peru with lots of friendly people and a local guide recommend by the B&B took us to see the condors and down into Colca canyon.

We liked the spacious room and the large comfortable bed. There was a heater in the room which we used at night to take the chill off the room. The meals prepared for us were excellent and the owner was extremely helpful in recommending where to walk and providing information about local transport.

Everything was nearly perfect apart from the fact that the shower was not very hot. However when we mentioned this to the owner in the evening he rectified the situation and we had hot water the next morning.

What a hem of a find, after the hustle and bustle of cusco etc. The owner could not of done enough for us to make our stay great. Unfortunately we could only spend one night. We eat in house for our evening meal which was great. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We loved this place! I wish we would have allowed a few more days here. Our room was spacious, the king bed very comfy, the shower hot and strong, the decorating very tasteful. The room cost included breakfast which was very good. We also ate dinner there every night since there are so few options in Yanque. And why would we, the dinners were excellent the best we had had in Peru to date. But the thing that made this over the top was our host (I'm not sure how he spells his name but it is like Alla). He did everything he could to make our stay a memorable one. We had a medical issue/knee come up, he got the doctor to stop there. He brought us out to the edge of town to make sure we got headed in the right direction for a hike one day. He arranged all other buses and taxis we needed. He cooks and serves like a pro. And he does all of this with enthusiasm and friendliness. In addition, the courtyard area was beautiful with flowers and trees and a few tables to relax at. The town of Yanque is very quiet and serene surrounded by Mountains and foothills. Again we loved this place and would return again and stay much longer. The positive energy here feeds the soul!

The owner was really nice, room was good, clean and the most important is that this hotel is really close to the colca canyon, just a few minutes walk and you will get a great view.

We arrived in the raining season, and I think the whole town use solar power for hot water system, so we didn't had much sun when we arrived and therefore no hot water shower, and it's freezing cold in the morning due to the high altitude.
