The owner and his staff could not have been nicer, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Though not well documented this hotel is just blocks from an amazing walking trails that leads to the other side of Colca Canyon by way of suspension bridge (and amazing ruins on the cliff side). Passing through through beautiful farmers fields of quinoa, mustard, and maize, you can easily hike to local hot springs, other nearby villages and unfrequented (spectacular) ruins. You can also easily hike to Colca Canyon Lodge, where you can get a day pass for their hot springs. The town of Yanque is beautiful, and there are a few nice coffee shops, bars, and restaurants a couple blocks away, but the food and service is so good at the hotel, I recommend just eating there.
