The place is so cute. Our room had so much character. Exposed brick, wood beams, wall of stones, etc. Location was great.
Bring earplugs to Peru. Everywhere we stayed you could hear the neighboring rooms very well. This place was no exception.
I did a great deal of research on places to stay in Cusco and first booked a place based on location (right of the main plaza) but when they stopped responding to my emails regarding the booking, I decided to look elsewhere. I am so glad I did. This place was wonderful, from the very comfortable beds, the daily housekeeping service, the breakfast (with cooked eggs and beautiful view), very nice shower with hot water and most importantly, the very helpful staff. They arranged pick-up for us at the airport, taxi to the train station and taxis back to airport. The room that we stayed in (4 mid age women) had two bedroom areas (total of 5 beds) a full bathroom. It was within walking distance of the plaza - couple of short blocks. The rooms are beautifully rustic with panted murals on the walls, the room we had had plenty of storage place, nightstands. It was a very quiet place as well, never heard any other noise (or other people). Very great place to stay in Cusco as a base to discover the area. The value $75 per night was very reasonable and split 4 ways even better. We stayed a total of 5 nights.
Nothing really except maybe the steps to climb to get to the front entrance but wasn't a big issue.
Nothing except is in San Blas region close to good restaurants Ciccolina and Jacks Cafe.
Everything from serving you cold tap water at breakfast to make you sick to the holes in floor, cold water turned off re leaking toilets, lumpy pillows, old thin linen that doesn't fit the beds to no street access.
A very nice hotel that is very close to the main square. Higly recommended!
Great location! 5 Min away from Plaza de Armas, really nice breakfast every morning with eggs, bread, jam, tea and coffee. Specious room!
The bathroom smelled a little bit.
The staff was wonderful, and we basically had the hotel to ourselves the first few nights. They also let us check in at 7am when we first arrived off the plane.
Our first room was great (three nights), the second room (one night) was different and had a window overlooking the road. There was honking most of the night, and no blinds to keep out the street light.
the stuff at the reception was kind and full of understanding
the bed was too noisy; there was no option for breakfast for the people who do not eat eggs!
Clean, friendly, close to everything
Situated on a stairwell, hard o find.
Staff helpful. Good location - quiet but only a couple of blocks from the Plaza de Armas and near lots of restaurants. Nice large beds. Doonas were great - much better than the heavy blankets we had elsewhere. Heater was provided and worked well, as did free Wifi. Free luggage storage while we were on a 9 day trek.
Electricity outlets take the plugs with 2 flat pins (not the 2 round pins we'd been able to use elsewhere in Peru). However the staff provided us with an adaptor to use while we were there.
This hostel is in a great location, just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are cozy and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is tasty. You can receive international calls in your room.
The shower is mostly hot, but sometimes changes temperature to very hot or cold suddenly. The fireplaces in the rooms were not functional when we visited. They gave us a space heater on our second night, but they don't have enough for all the rooms, so we were just cold our first night. The breakfast room is freezing! No heat and they leave the door open to the outside, so the servers can come and go from the kitchen, which is off of a courtyard.
The hostel is very rustic, but outfitted with excellent facilities like a huge, warm shower, and beds with luscious down-comforters. Cuzco gives the overall impression of being quite remote, but the wifi was great, the staff extremely accommodating, the free breakfast was simple, but nice and the location of the hostel was central to the historic part of town. I especially appreciated the electric heater in the room to toast up to before climbing into the very ample king(plus) bed.
The only access to the hostel is up a hefty flight of stone steps. After we had hiked all day at Machu Picchu, coming home that night and the next nearly killed us!
