Staff was very accommodating and genuine
All of logistic concerns about entry and exit into MP and Sacred Valley were taken care of by Aydee the very knowledgable and helpful manager. Storing our extra luggage we didn't want to take with us, onward bus bookings, laundry on return, a shower and somewhere to relax before next location was all looked after for us. A nice breakfast and plenty of MP tour options also available if you haven't booked anything, Aydee will look after you.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money at 30 USD for a double with a bathroom.
It was a bit out of town. Not a long walk but we passed many other hostels on the way into town.
The owner was so helpful and even arranged a last minute pickup from the bus station for us.
Great friendly staff and helpful. Let us keep the room for a night while we visited Machu Picchu for no extra charge. Lovely terrace overlooking the city. Very good
Aydee and her husband are the friendliest hosts I have met so far on this trip. Since I went sick they cared about me and I felt like being part of a family. There is always free tea and the breakfast is fresh and good. The Hostel is just a 5 min walk down the road to Plaza de Armas and there are a lot of kiosks around. They also offer tours and a laundry service. The room was comfy.
Owner is incredibly helpful and will go out of her way to help. Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms with good constant hot water.
Second toilet would be a plus and chill out area downstairs would be nice.
The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to tours.all can be organized from the Hostal.she brings the tour company to the Hostal.breakfast on the terrace nice start to the day.
A mirror outside of the bathroom would be nice, cause it's gets really steamed up after a shower, and the bathrooms are tiny, so hard for two people to get ready at the same time. Also, the hooks in one of the rooms (for coats) was broken, so that should also be fixed, soap should be provided for washing hands and wifi wasn't good in one of the rooms, but still usable if you wander closer to the office.
The first day we arrived, we kind of questioned whether this was a good pick. The rooms are old and dark, and it's located outside of the main area, in a poorer part of town. When we met the lady who runs the place, we immediately knew we had made the right choice. She goes out of her way to help you out. We wanted to do yoga, but didn't speak Spanish, so she walked with us to the studio, and translated what we wanted. She also walked us to the main square to meet a tour guide and they stored our bags when we went on a hike for several days. It was also very nice hearing about how she grew up. She makes the place!
Nice view over Cusco, makes up for walking a bit more. Great crepe for breakfast.
Thank Aide , she is the manager of this little lovely hostal. She made everything to help us. We will never forget the time there. We do higly recommend this place.
Nothing actually. It's a bit out of the city center but that keeps it quite at night.
The staff and owner Aydee are veey helpfull and friendly. They are interested, always willing to help and very easy going.
A 10 to 15 minute walk up hill from plaza de armas. Difficult to find on the first night as there are multiple streets called tupac amaru. Use the hostels pick up service if you can to avoid confusion.
Great staff, lovely breakfast, clean decent room, great value.
The place is located a little outside the city centre. Eventhough, we never had any problems on our way home.
Very nice staff, rooms are ok. Warm shower and good kitchen facility. Crepes for breakfast!
Me and my boyfriend booked a double room with private bathroom in Hostal Piuray before going on the Inca Trail for 4 days. We absolutely loved our stay in Aydee's hostel and returned for 3 more nights after the trek. The room was very spacious and clean with a new bathroom and hot water. Aydee also provided lots of blankets to keep us warm at night. We particularly enjoyed Aydee's breakfasts with pancakes, eggs and bread rolls on the terrace with an amazing view over Cusco. The hostel is not right in the centre and it is a 10 min walk to a supermarket and 3 more min to the main plaza. The hostel is in a safe area though and staying there gave us the option to see the real Cusco as the centre is all nice for tourists but the locals live very differently. Aydee makes this hostel very special. She is the nicest hostel owner we met through our extensive travels and is always there, smiling and very helpful. We had many nice chats with Aydee. She even joined us on a day tour to the Sacred Valley and was like a guide to us (as she studied tourism she was able to give us lots of insightful information about all the sights). We booked a taxi for this day trip through Aydee (we can recommend Señor Felix) for a good price and were able to see way more sights in one day this way than having to book 2 separate day trips. We highly recommend Hostal Piuray and would love to see Aydee again one day.
Best hostel staff I've encountered in Europe and South America. Above and beyond is an understatement.
It was a fair walk into town, 10 min.
The hostess Aydee was lovely. She chatted with us at breakfast, and was very attentive, giving us great ideas for what to do around Cusco. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The kitchen was decently stocked and the view from the deck was incredible!
Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Good Breakfast. Located a little out of the main part of town, making for a quiet location. Good view over town.
The lovely young peruvian that runs the hostal. She was very nice and had a good english!
Great and super friendly helpful owner, beautiful view from sunny terrace, and breakfast with fresh baked pancakes!
Aydee, the owner, is awesome! She's incredibly friendly and helpful and makes good crepes/pancakes every morning. WiFi was excellent, which is a rarity. Some may not be crazy about the location because it is just a bit outside the trendier downtown area, but I felt like it was a fair trade for the beautiful view of the city and surrounding mountains. It's a 15 minute walk or 5 soles taxi ride to the Plaza de Armas. There are 3 different neighborhood convenience stores for water and snacks right nearby the hostel. Also, there is laundry service at a fair price and access to free, hot tea, always.
