Plaza del Bosque Hotel    

This wasthe second time we did stay on this hotel and this time was better. First time we had confort of a 3 stars hotel. Now was better...around 4 stars hotel.

Still not the confort of the 5 stars hotel.

Room was dated, refrigerator barely cool, wifi router on floor in livingroom, breakfast seating inadequate and staff appeared overwhelmed running out of food.

As a backpacker I wanted my last five days of a trip around South America to be spent on relaxation and chill out. Unfortunately this hotel is definitely not a good value for money. I have no idea how this hotel got 5 stars, for me it's a maximum of 3 and a half of a star and I'm sure everyone from US/Europe would say the same. In Lima, you can find a hotel for a better price,with better conditions and better location ( Plaza del Bosque is 40 minutes walk from the city so expect to take a taxi everytime).

I was moved to Suites del Bosque accross the street. Still good location, reasonable in price, friendly staff, spacious rooms (junior suite), but a little renovation could help. I wonder if the one I actually booked was better. I would recommended it, though.

Reception could only exchange $100.00 at a time. Internet connection was not very good.

An all round nice hotel

The taxi service used by the hotel charged me over three times more than regular taxis, needless to say I only used them the once!

The bar is really bad, the drink are bad and expensive and they charged me one extra night because I made the reservation 2 times, because I did not get the first one. Even I stay in the hotel they said you did not show up for the first reservation (can you beleive that?) and you must pay an extra night, even I paid all my regular reservation. They tried to give me a hard time at 5am in the morning when they know that I can miss my flight. Also they show the prices in Peruvian Soles and when they invoice you, they charge you in us Dollars "Company Policy" the are cheaters and lie to guess. I do not know how Booking.com can have this Hotel in the offers.

The room are big is like an apartment size,The ubicatio is great,The breadfast is ok!

The room should be updated Remdeling The room and The Common areas!

Buffet breakfast was amazing. Staff were excellent, very helpful in every way.

The swimming pool has nothing in its area. There are a few chairs, in the photo of the pool the picture of the pool makes the photo look like its alive around the pool area where there isnt a photo, a person, no life guard, nobody and nothing except you , alone if you visit.You cant get a drink, you cant get water nor able to call anyone from there as there are no phones. This was misleading.

Tiene pulgas y mal aire acondicionado en las habirtaciones. La piscina esta con el agua descompuesta.

Excellent treatment of staff and a great atmosphere to support guests ...

Very comfortable suites of one and two bedroom ... but the furnishings outdated and insufficient ... The full kitchen and very comfortable, but does not have any kind of dishes, glasses, cutlery and other things to eat something in the room. It should also have TV in all bedrooms and living room.

It is OLD, and the services was awfull

The room was very spacious, and had all the amenities we required.

The decor and all was a bit dated; it needs a bit of touchup. Also, there is a large sitting room, but the TV is in the much smaller bedroom ... on a stand partially blocking access to the bathroom. The TV should be moved to the sitting room, or a smaller TV mounted on the wall in the bedroom.

Lots of space, and 2 bedroom apartment was great for family with kids.

Staff at desk was quite rude and unhelpful - over two separate stays. Wake up call never made (and when staff told, no apology). Approached desk to ask a question and was ignored for 10 minutes. Very unlike my experience in the rest of Peru, and at another hotel in Lima. Also hotel bills itself as "near airport." While there are almost no hotels within half an hour of airport, I think this should be clarified. This hotel is 30 minutes by taxi from the airport (about $30 US)

The staff was very amicable, and showing excellent hospitality.

I would have booked for a longer stay, but the hotel did not have any rooms wih standard double beds. This was he only reason we had to switch hotels when our party became three people, instead of two.

Unpleasant smell in the room

I was changed to suites del bosco,had to prepay because of unclear problems with creditcard.

Air conditioning.....even when set to automatic it ran all the time. Kitchenette had no dishes/glasses/utensils

The people was very kind and friendly. The location is excellent and in general the Hotel is comfortable.

I didn´t like the mattress. Wi fi signal was very poor. Gastronomy is good but not like a real 5 star hotel.Tha safety box is very old, In general the Hotel needs to be refreshed and modernized.

The breakfast buffet was very good and included many different peruvian dishes, all delicious Personnel was friendly and efficient, both at the restaurant and for room service We had an appartment which fitted us five fine, was clean and comfortabel

It is very far from the historical center The bathroom was in great need of renovation and we hardly could take a a shower as very little hot water came through it. There was a little kitchen, also in great need of renovation , and there was nothing at all in it ( no glasses, cuttlery, etc, or a possibility to make a tea or coffee) The hotel presents itself as 5 *, but I would give it a 3* rating.

The room is pretty big with one living room and one bedroom. The hot water is really good and the bath might be the best time during my stay there. The breakfast is also very good with lots of varieties. Most hotel staff are very friendly except the one when I checked in at night. She tried to get me to pay more money to the taxi.

The location is not in the downtown. I didn't know about it until I checked in. The taxi to the downtown is about 8 to 10 sole if you get one in the street. (The woman in the front counter when I checked in told me it would be 12 us dollars to use their taxi. Then the staff during the day time gave me more useful information.) It is not expensive, but the problem is that the taxi driver won't speaking English. It will make it difficult for you to go anywhere without a written address. The first night's room smells like a 100 year grandpa. I actually got sore throat. They changed me to another room which is very comfortable. However, the modem was then broken on the 2nd night. I had to wait for more than half an hour to get it fixed. Well, definitely not a 5 star hotel.
