Charming layout and architecture Very comfortable Hot tea available at all times from urn in dining room Location in cul de sac made access difficult when the normally open end of the street was closed by the municipal authority Towels changed too frequently in contradiction to the stated eco policy

Historical interest of hotel, lovely courtyards, comfortable rooms, heated with commodious bathroom and lots of hot water. Quiet, in the centre of the old city within easy walking distance of many points of interest. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.

Everything! An amazing and outstanding hotel, which not only provided an outstanding service, but is also ideally located within the city of Cusco itself. The hotel provided a pickup service from my point of arrival. On arrival, they provided a hot cup of coca tea, whilst going through all the formalities of registration, and gave a very extensive summary of their own services, as well as an indication of various points of interest throughout the city, backed up by brochures. Upon making enquiries about a trip to Machu Picchu, despite the late hour, and very short time frame I had, one of the staff (Karina), was absolutely outstanding in arranging all that was required. This is a hotel that really does work hard to ensure the guests satisfaction. The rooms are very adequate and functional, including a mini bar and safety deposit box. It is rated as a 3 star hotel, but could easily pass for a higher rating. Disappointed that they do not provide a similar shuttle service to point of city departure, as they do for arrival.

This is a very nice hotel and the staff are excellent. Jesus, the hotel manager is great and makes you feel very welcome. Hotel staff will do whatever they can to help you explore Cusco and arrange tours. Talk to Karina for tours to Machu Picchu. Our room had wooden floors and was very comfortable . Hotel is short walk from center Plaza de Arms and restaurants are all around ( we liked Jacks ). Area felt safe and we would definately stay at Rumi Punku again.

From the beginning the whole Rumi Punku experience was restful. The staff are very friendly and responsive. It is well located and about a 5 minute walk to the Plaza De Armas. The breakfast was okay - cereal, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon. The decor was charming old world and the courtyards very peaceful settings. Internet was not available in rooms which meant we had to go down to lounge to use the wifi, but at least it was consistent. We stayed before and after doing the Inca Trail Trek and would recommend this hotel as being well worth a visit.

Hotel Rumi Punku, was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was terrific, the staff helpful, and the proximity to Cuzco's main attractions is perfect. Just far enough from the main square to be quiet in the evening. We booked a few tours through the front desk and one was great, one not so great.

What did I like about Hotel Rumi Punku? EVERYTHING... This is a hotel that delivers well above its star rating in every way possible. I was staying as a base hotel for an Inka Trail to Machu Picchu trek. They know the drill for these guests & cater to them well. I had a nice room before but appeared to have an upgrade after the trek where luxury & comfort was even more appreciated. I also returned from my trek to find my left luggage already in my room. I also found a robe, slippers & chocolates on my pillow. Just what the good Dr ordered after 4 days on the trail. There also is massage, hot tub, great wifi & a tasty, filling breakfast offered. Highly recommended. Just a note - there are street dogs aplenty in Cusco & I heard them in room 207. If you are not used to this, you could have trouble sleeping. I have dogs so it did not bother me but thought it worth noting.

They have excellent staff who are very friendly and helpful; especially Diana who provided us with her excellent concierge services. Thank you, Diana. We'll come back soon! Our twin room was a little smaller than the ones in the other hotels in the area.

Great building, spotless rooms and great service. Great view from top floor. Plus, they were flexible to let us check in very early. Fine for us, but there is no elevator for the 3rd and 4th floor rooms (great view is worth it, though).

Close to the main square, shops restaurants and activity. The hotel staff and manger are friendly and ready to help in any way they can. LAN Peru misplaced my luggage and the hotel staff kept calling on my behalf to help. Excellent breakfast with local items. Enjoyed the coffee, cereals, fresh fruits, avocadoes, fresh yoghurt and fresh juices.from local fruit. The passion fruit juice is excellent. Try mixing it with the fresh orange juice. Eggs are also done to your liking. Fresh coca tea is available all day and night. Liked the idea of the hotel internet cafe. Really friendly staff and people some of whom can speak English. I cannot speak Spanish and got along quite well at the hotel, restaurants, shops, the market and the local fairs.. I had street food and had no stomach problems but I just could bear to eat at the stalls in the San Pedro market. Do try the local corn with local cheese and a hint of Peruvian hot sauce. Really divine. Travelling around with taxis is cheap and a breeze. Ask how much is the fare first before getting in. I found the people to be honest.. I would recommend the hotel for more mature visitors but that does not mean that it is not family friendly. The hotel is in a quiet area but you can be at the main square in 10 mins or less..walking. I wish if Cusco would remain as it is. Lots of local artifacts, locally made items and local food. 'Made in China' has not made it here yet. The best ceviche I had was at the Inka Grill. It is a meal all on its own. Visit the chocolate museum. It is worth the time, effort and money.. The lighting in the bedroom could be improved.
