What a lovely hotel, small, personal and comfortable. The Rumi Punku is a very attractive hotel. Hidden behind thick walls the hotel opens to courtyards with flowers and fountains - a haven tucked away, yet close to everything Cusco has to offer. The rooms are simple but comfortable, all en-suite. Great location, two blocks to the main square in Cusco. A great place to acclimatise before starting our adventure on the Inca Trail. I would highly recommend it to anyone, good value for money. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps they could improve on the breakfast service. Cereal, yogurt, fruit, meat and cheese and some cooked bacon. It was fine but the service was lacking, we didn't realise that you could get eggs, fried or scrambled, until after we had eaten on our first day. After that we knew the score so it wasn't a problem. Great coffee!

This hotel was excellent. My son and I travelled here as part of a 3 week South America trip. I have satyed in many top class and 5* hotels accross the world and Rumi Punku is one I will remember for all the right reasons.the staff were very helpful and gave us great detail on all aspects of the area, altitude sickness etc.The organised tours were good particularly the sacred valley tour. The hotel was spotlessly clean.the shower in the room was the most powerful I have seen! The hotel is perfectly placed for the town centre of Cusco.from the moment Havier( thank you Havier) one of the hotels drivers picked us up to the minute we left we had no complaints.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is terrific. When we returned after leaving our suitcase for two days while on the 1 day/ 2 night trip to Machu Picchu, they had been placed back in our new rooms. There are four PC's in the small business center and wi fi in the rooms as well. We highly recommend this small hotel.

Hotel Rumi Punku was a nice budget hotel! I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating, provided restaurant and other suggestions, and assisted in arranging tours and transfer to/from the airport. Rumi Punk really felt like home. The breakfast options were good, and generally included a meat, eggs, fruit, cereal, breads, and a variety of juice and hot drink options. Breakfast was served from 5-10 am, a perfect range for pre-Machu Picchu hikes and sleeping in. Rumi Punku's location was great - just blocks from great restaurants and main tourist attractions, like the main plaza in Cusco and museums, and walkable to historic Incan ruins.

The friendliness of the hotel staff, and the breakfast! Amazing location as well, close to the Town center. Safe area. The heat didn't work the first day, but we were able to get prompt service the next day.

Hotel Rumi Punku turned out to be everything we expected it to be. Very clean and serene hotel. Especially would like to mention Ifraen who helped us with organizing the trip to Machu Pichhu. It all worked like clockwork. Very good location and altogether great experience. The manager was not as friendly as the rest of the staff which is unusual. Some rooms can be a bit dark but they are amenable to changes if there is availability.

Good location, warm welcome, excellent accommodation, beautiful public rooms and courtyards, nice breakfast, good wi-fi, storage of luggage for Machu Pichu/Amazonia trips.....all first class for a small hotel. The service at breakfast could have been better but only a minor fault in this otherwise excellent hotel.

The staff were very friendly & always willing to help. The rooms were very comfortable-very clean, the showers were always hot, beds were very comfortable & cosy. Was particularly impressed with the constant cleaning within the hotel complex & courtyard. Breakfast was great- enjoyed the best bacon & eggs in this hotel. No other hotel in Sth America could cook bacon & eggs like they could at this hotel.

Extremely helpful staff - willing and able to help us with all reasonable requests, questions, and arrangements during our stay in Cusco. Charming little 3-story hotel clustered around several little interior courtyards, with a maze of stairways and balconies, interesting pictures, plants, and objects everywhere. Everything kept perfectly maintained and clean. We loved it!

Great value for money! Great hotel, one of the best I've stayed in and there were Hiltons, Sheratons.... It is just marvelous, it is better in reality than on the photos. There is a beautiful patio with lots of plants, a beautiful colonial style house. Rooms are very nice, super clean, big bathroom. Excellent breakfast with lots of fruit, fresh pressed fruit juices, eggs the way you want them, yoghurts, cornflakes, cakes, bread, cheese, ... Free internet. Good location, close to the Main Square. It can't get better than this!

Pretty close to the main square, nice staff and really good breakfasts. They were really helpful while we went off to do the Inca Trail. We had a very early start so we left our bags in our room for them to put in storage and didnt have to check out as we were returning after the trek. Our bags were left back in our room we came back.

This hotel is a treasure! The hotel is a beautiful mix of Incan and colonial Spanish decor. From the street there is no way to know that once you step through the Incan doorway you will find a gorgeous courtyard and multiple levels of peaceful seating areas filled with flowers and fountains. The room included all the amenities we needed, minibar fridge, tv, comfortable beds, warm linens, free wifi and a large modern bathroom with good water pressure and lots of hot water. There are also computers available for those who don't bring their own. The staff were very polite and helpful which started right at registration when they served coca tea during the paperwork. Hot water for tea and coffee is available all day in the very comfortable lobby area. Breakfast was included and offered a variety of fruits, beverages, baked goods, cheese, cold cuts, cereals and eggs made to order. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks to the main plaza and a short taxi ride to the ruins. We walked back from the ruins which was only 30 minute downhill, but going up it is much easier to hire a taxi. Also only a short and cheap taxi ride to the airport. We would have loved to have spent more than the two nights scheduled at this hotel as it would have been great to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful courtyard sitting areas.

I cannot speak highly enough of Jesus, the Manager at the Rumi Punku. We had to leave a few days early as my husband was hospitalised with altitude sickness and Jesus even came to visit him at the hospital and arranged a transfer for us to another hotel at a lower altitude in the Sacred Valley. He even accompanied us on the hour long trip to the new hotel. The staff that cook breakfast in the mornings are awesome and cook the best eggs and nothing is too much trouble. The tour organizer Efrain is very caring and goes above and beyond expectations to make sure everyone is looked after. Highly recommend this hotel. It is in a great location but is quiet at night so you can sleep well. The doonas are so cosy and warm. They supplied hot water when I needed it for a sinus condition I have that requires this treatment for pain relief. It would be great to have some light meals available in the kitchen in the evenings and I am sure they would be fabulous just like breakfast. It is however not as issue as there are restaurants very close by and we felt very safe walking around in the evenings. It is not standard practice in South America, like it is in Australia, to have tea and coffee making facilities available in the rooms, but it would be great to have the option if it was required. This was still not an issue as there is coca tea available in the lounge are 24/7

The hotel was clean and well kept, and the rooms had decent refrigerators in them. The TVs were nice but the quality of signal in that remote location renders them relatively useless. The hotel staff were incompetent, sending me all over town to find information they had all along, and were rude to my wife and our friends. They provide cheap, poor quality soap and shampoo that makes you feel like you just bathed in acetone. This is a poor value for money.
